Can A Family Man WithSalary RM3,000 Survive In Malaysia ...!
Can a family man with Salary RM3,000 survive in Malaysia
Let's do some simple calculations here.
In Malaysia ,the average family income is RM3,000/month
(where father works, mother doesn't).
I understand there are many families whose
monthly income does not reach RM3,000,
but, to make things simple,
let's take RM3,000 as thefigure. Ok lah, right?
Okay, let's start rolling with a family which has
Papa, Mama, 1 daughter and 1 son. Ngam-ngam ....
Calculation starts...
Electricity and water bill: RM100
(No air-con, No home theatre, No water heater ... ok?)
Phone bill ( Telekom): RM100
Meals for a happy family: RM775
(3 meals on RM25/day, RM25 for 4 persons...?)
Papa makan / teh-tarik during working hrs: RM155
(RM5/day, RM5 ... can eat what?)
Car repayment: RM400
(A proton saga aeroback, 7 yrs repayment)
Petrol (living in city, traffic-jam): RM300
(go to work, bring son to school,
only can afford one car running)
Insurance: RM650
(kids, wife and myself)
House repayment: RM750
(low cost housing repayment for 30 yrs,
retired still have to work to pay!)
Tuition: RM80
(got that cheap meh? i don't think so)
Older children pocket money @ school: RM20
(RM1/day, eat bread?)
School fees: RM30
(enough ah?)
School books and etc: RM100
(always got extra to pay in school)
Younger children milk powder: RM50
(cannot have the DHA, BHA, PHA one, expensive)
Miscellaneous: RM100
(shampoo, rice, sauce, toilet paper)
Oh wait!!! I have to stop here, so...
No Astro,
no movie @ cinema,
no DVD,
no CD,
no online,
cannot KFC,
cannot McDonald,
cannot go Park walk during weekend (petrol expensive),
no chit chat on phone with grandparents, and etc...
Let's use a calculator to total up... WALAO EH! #! RM3,610already...
EPF belum potong, income tax lagi........oledi RM3,610 ....
How to survive lah tuan-tuan dan puan-puan sekalian ???
Our Deputy Prime Minister asked us to change lifestyle?
How to change? Don't eat? Don't work? Don't send children to school and study?
Besides that, I believe in Malaysia population, there are millions of rakyat Malaysia which still don't earnRM3,000/month!!!
What is this? Inilah Malaysia Boleh... Sorry ... it should be MalaysiansBoleh , becausewe're still alive and kicking!!
Our politicians must be mad!!!!

Wokay la.....let's calculate again....
Electricity and water bill: RM100
(No air-con, No home theatre, No water heater ... ok?)
Phone bill ( Telekom): RM30
make calls only during office hours....for the working partner la kan?....family members yang tak working...unless penting baru make calls...sekadar nak say hello and muah...muahz....kat rumah boleh kan....yang bekerja balik la awal sikit....spend more time with the family....salah satu kawalan nafsu.....
Meals for a happy family: RM775
(3 meals on RM25/day, RM25 for 4 persons...?)....ni gua agree...makan untuk hidup...
Papa makan / teh-tarik during working hrs: RM0
(RM5/day, RM5 ... can eat what?) - papa....no teh tarik kay....fully utilize company facilities kalau ada pantry...kalau tak de...air suam would be good....for your health and for your pocket.....
Car repayment: RM400
(A proton saga aeroback, 7 yrs repayment)...agreed....quite a necesssity....
Petrol (living in city, traffic-jam): RM300
(go to work, bring son to school,
only can afford one car running)
Insurance: RM100
(kids, wife and myself).....tak payah la mahal sangat kot....so far....klinik kerajaan...RM1 jer per visitation....
House repayment: RM350
(low cost housing repayment for 30 yrs,
retired still have to work to pay!)...nak beli rumah buat aper....averagely we will not live up to that long...sewa jer la....kalau dah tua...tak samada menumpang rumah anak-anak or enter jer dalam rumah orang tua-tau....
Tuition: RM0
(got that cheap meh? i don't think so)....since mama kan ader kat rumah...tuition is an optional babe....dah makan RM25 sehari per person...beli la makanan berkhasiat....and mama bagi tuition la....
Older children pocket money @ school: RM20
(RM1/day, eat bread?).....buat bekal la mama weiii......
School fees: RM130
(enough ah?) ....not enough.....
School books and etc: RM100
(always got extra to pay in school)...this one agreed....
Younger children milk powder: RM50
(cannot have the DHA, BHA, PHA one, expensive)
Miscellaneous: RM100
(shampoo, rice, sauce, toilet paper)
so total baru RM2355....ada RM645 lagi to juggle around.... ![](static/image/smiley/default/tongue.gif) |

...the most important thing yang kita kena ingat is to spend less than what we earn...bak kata orang...belanja ikut kemampuan kita...jangan belanja ikut nafsu...if u spend less than what u earn...besar kemungkinan kita masih ada baki wang tuk kita ketepikan for savings...
...between how much we make and how much we spend...there is a gap...try to make that gap as big as possible...jika kita bekerja keras tuk earn more money dan bertekad kuat tuk kurangkan perbelanjaan kita...then...that gap will be even bigger...kalau ko bley buat begini...insyaallah...what u earn will be sufficient...
...so...instead of spending more...learn how to earn more...in this case...perhaps the wife who is not working can make use of her culinary skills and start a small business...or perhaps jugak bley babysit for her neighbours...or give tuition to the kids in her neighbourhood...
...spending less??...lookout for promotions or discount coupons...cut out...save and use this coupons the next time u do your groceries shopping...spend on items yang kita perlukan dan avoid buying those yang kita tak perlu...when we see something that we like...before we grab it and head for the payment counter...use that 10 second rule...ask yourself...is that item a neccessity or just to fancy your whim??...
...oh...lagik satu...elakkan berhutang dan kalau bley...elakkan daripada owning a credit card...can ruin your life kalau ko tak pandai kawal...
