Revision Sawfly™ Military Eyewear System

The Revision Sawfly Spectacle System is supplied in two sizes, with interchangeable, high-impact polycarbonate lenses giving an undistorted, unrestricted field of view and 100% UV protection. Sawfly is compatible with helmets, night vision gear, weapons sights and binoculars, and can also be customized for prescription vision correction.

Designed for ballistic protection, Sawfly is tough enough to withstand a shotgun blast from sixteen feet distance. In testing, a Remington 1197 12 ga. with 28 inch barrel and full choke was fired at the test Sawfly. Thirty-seven strikes were recorded with 1.25 ounce #6 lead shot, no penetrations.

Revision Sawfly provides excellent ballistic protection, but does not provide eye protection from laser hazards. If a mission requires laser eye protection, the soldier must wear the Sun-Wind-Dust Goggles (SWDG), Ballistic-Laser Protective Spectacles (B-LPS), or Special Protective Eyewear Cylindrical System (SPECS) (with laser lenses). For soldiers requiring prescription spectacles, the Revision Sawfly with a PLC is authorized for use as alternatives to the BLPS.

In August 2006, Revision Eyewear signed a contract with the U.S. Army to supply 100,000 sets of the Revision Sawfly™ U.S. Military Eyewear, with 20,000 units delivered immediately. The protective glasses will be used in the Army’s Training Base Eye Protection Program, in which new recruits will wear Revision eyewear during training to protect their eyes and to familiarize them with routinely wearing protective eyewear.

Pulau Labuan telah diserahkan kepada British pada tahun 1846 dan wilayah timur laut (timur negeri Sabah hari ini) juga dituntut oleh Kesultanan Suluk.






Peta Negara Brunei Darussalam semasa permerintahan Sultan Abdul Momin (1852- 1885), Sultan Brunei ke-24, menunjukkan wilayah-wilayah yang dirampas oleh Rajah Brooke.

Kerana menghadapai ancaman luar daripada Rajah Brooke, Brunei akhirnya menempatkan diri dibawah naungan British bagi mengekalkan kewujudannya.

Walaupun dibawah naungan British, Rajah Brooke terus merampas wilayah-wilayah Brunei. Selepas kehilangan Limbang (1890) dan Lawas (1905), Brunei menjadi sebuah negara yang kecil yang ada pada hari ini.

Percubaan-percubaan Rajah Brooke untuk terus menelan keseluruhan Brunei telah berjaya dipatahkan.

Minyak telah mula ditemui di Brunei pada tahun 1929 dan penemuan ini telah menjadi sumber utama pendapatan negara. Brunei menjadi sebuah negara bebas daripada hutang sejak tahun 1937.

Pada tahun 1963, Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien III telah membuat keputusan untuk tidak menyertai Malaysia.

Brunei mencapai kemerdekaan daripada British pada tahun 1984. Walaupun merdeka pada tarikh yang akhir (berbanding negeri-negeri Melayu yang lain), Brunei kekal menjadi sebuah negara Melayu Islam Beraja yang berdaulat dan berjaya mengekalkan identiti budaya sejarahnya.
