Alexander Hleb's agent insists the midfielder wants to stay at Arsenal amid reports of interest from Barcelona.

Speculation in Spain has claimed Barca have made the Belarus international one of their top summer transfer targets.

Hleb has steadily established himself as a key figure in the Arsenal team since joining the club from Stuttgart in 2005.

And the 26-year-old's agent Niki Spilevski has confirmed Hleb has no desire to change his surroundings at the end of the season.

"I can understand why Barcelona would be interested in Alex," Spilevski told The Sun.

"But Alex loves life at Arsenal. He feels he is at the best club in the world.

"He has the ideal manager, he loves his team-mates and loves London. Why would he want to leave?"

Hleb has scored twice in 21 Premier League appearances this season, with the Gunners leading champions Manchester United by two points.

Mathieu Flamini has calmed the concerns over the injury he picked up while in action for France in midweek and insisted that he plans to be fit on time to lineup against Blackburn on Monday.

The Arsenal midfielder limped off after just quarter-of-an-hour during the France reserve side's match against Congo on Tuesday, prompting fears that he would be out for a crucial part of the Gunners' campaign.

"It is just a little tight spot behind the right thigh," Flamini said reassuringly. "It is nothing serious, I hope I'll be ready for Blackburn."

The talented 23-year-old almost left the Emirates Stadium in the summer but has become an unlikely focal point for the first team in his favoured holding midfield position directly behind Cesc Fabregas.

Although his current contract expires in the summer, and that his form has attracted the interest of Italian giants Juventus and La Liga outfit Valencia, Flamini has repeatedly assured he wants to remain in North London.

Juve Set For Palladino - Gilberto Swap Deal?

Juventus are considering offering Raffaele Palladino to Arsenal in a swap deal involving Gilberto Silva, according to the Corriere dello Sport.

The Bianconeri are looking to strengthen their midfield department in the summer, and Coach Claudio Ranieri is a huge fan of Gilberto, and was linked with a move for him during last month抯 transfer window.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, who is undoubtedly one of, if not the best scout in world football has had his eyes on the young Raffaele Palladino for a number of years now and has attempted unsuccessfully to sign him on many occasions.

Palladino has hinted that he may quit Juventus at the end of the season due to his lack of first-team football.

Wenger is being tipped to table an offer for the star, who was in brilliant form for Italy in their 3-1 friendly win over Portugal in Zurich last night.

Gilberto is also unhappy at Arsenal, having lost his first-team place to Mathieu Flamini, and this is almost certain to be the 32-year-old抯 last season in North London.

Juventus sporting director Alessio Secco will ask Arsenal for Gilberto Silva if a bid for Palladino is received in the summer. Palladino himself admitted two days ago that a move to the Premiership was an option.

"England and Spain fascinates me. Not now but never say never and it will be looked at in June," he said on Tuesday.
