Ballack: We'll hit Arsenal for six
LIKE a punch drunk boxer, Arsenal do not know when they are beaten.
And that is what makes them such a2 danger to Chelsea’s Premier League title ambitions on Sunday.
That’s the view of Michael Ballack ahead of the big London derby at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues’ German midfielder has been shocked by the in-fighting at Arsenal as well as their nosedive out of the top four in the table. But he warns Chelsea must beware the sucker punch.
Ballack said: “They’re like a boxer who has been knocked to the canvas.
“They want to get up and keep fighting and that is what makes them so dangerous for other teams. They’re hurt and unpredictable and it’s always very difficult to play against that kind of team.
“At the moment, Arsenal look like a strange team. They have many problems, some from within their dressing room.
“But you have to be aware of the situation they are in and this kind of opponent is very dangerous.”
The Gunners are already 10 points behind Chelsea and Ballack added: “I think it’s very difficult for Arsenal to come back into the title race.
“Already they see a big gap between them and us. When you are on top of the league it’s up to other teams to chase and close the gap.
“When you play against a big team, sometimes a point is enough because you retain the gap between you and them.
“It’s not always the games between the big four which decide the title.
“There are games when all the big clubs lose unexpectedly. You can win five or six games in a row even when you are chasing.
“But when it comes to facing your big rival, when you’re behind, that’s when the pressure is there to win, not on the team that is on top already.
“At the moment we’re on top, Arsenal are 10 points behind us, so they have to win.” |

WILLIAM GALLAS faces another backlash after accusing Chelsea of telling lies to make him a hate figure.
The stroppy Frenchman has already been stripped of the Arsenal captaincy for criticising his team-mates last week.
Now the ex-Blues star will return to Stamford Bridge on Sunday, sure to face an ugly reception from Chelsea fans for his controversiol exit to join the Gunners.
Gallas reckons his problems began when Chelsea claimed he threatened to score an own-goal if he did not get a move.
He said: 揟hey ignored the truth. For them, I was a player who would score an own-goal. Who cared if I抎 given them five years of my life, my passion, a Premier League title to share.
揟hey remembered only the mega-false version of their club. I was gutted. |

Nasri, Ade, bang sagna could win trip to SB
Arsenal are monitoring the progress of Samir Nasri, Emmanuel Adebayor and Bacary Sagna ahead of Sunday抯 trip to Chelsea.
There is a possibility that all three could be available for selection at Stamford Bridge.
Sagna and Adebayor are both sidelined because of ankle problems while Nasri has a knee injury.
