Lee Jun Ki visits Japan for 'My Girl' promotion, Wednesday August 29, 2007 Korea
Actor Lee Jun Ki is promotingin Japan. Capturing audiences both on screen and television through the2005 'My Girl' and movie 'The King and the Clown,' he will now reachout to Japan amidst his popularity in the current drama series 'TimeBetween Dog and Wolf' as well as the movie 'Splendid Holiday.'
'MyGirl' will be aired starting on the 6th through TV Tokyo. Lee Jun Kiwill attend an event commemorating the broadcast of 'My Girl' at theTokyo International Forum on September 13th and also an event for theopening of his official Japanese website and fan club the followingday. The event on the 14th will be held with 150 invited fan memberspreceded by a press conference. He will also conduct personalinterviews with various media personnel on the 15th.
Theevent on the 13th has been gathering attention for the planned 30minute talk with Iwai Shimako, a writer and fan of Lee Jun Ki.
Lee Jun-ki Wins Rising Star Award, Monday September 3, 2007 Korea
Actor Lee Jun-ki has won the Rising Star award of the 27th Hawaiian International Film Festival.
Leerose to stardom for his role in the movie "King and the Clown." Hispopularity has soared in Asia after the joint Korean-Japanese movie"First Snow" opened this year.
An official from the festival'sorganizing committee said the Rising Star award is given to young moviestars and attests to Lee's potential to grow into a next-generationmovie actor who will garner great recognition not only in Korea butabroad.
The movie "May 18," which also stars Lee, has been nominated for the Golden Orchid award of the festival.
Lee plans to attend the Hawaiian International Film Festival during his promotion tour in Japan and Asia
Lee Jun-ki joins EEG
Popular Korean star Lee Jun-ki has signed a contract with EmperorEntertainment Group (EEG) to manage his jobs and career in Chineseregion (China, Hong Kong and Taiwan).
An official from EEG has confirmed that Jun-ki has signed thecontract, and that EEG will officially announced his joining inOctober. The contract details are not released, but is believed to beworth at least 8 figures (that is at least 10 million Hong Kongdollars).
EEG is one of the largest entertainment groups in Hong Kong; theirmanaged stars include TWINS, Joey Yung and Isabella Leong etc.

Sohu: Please greet the audience of Sohu
LJK: I'm happy to get the great award of Sohu. Everybody likes my roles so much that make me more confident. This award is given by audience, so I feel very honored. Hence, I will try to perform in good films to requite you. Thank you again.
Sohu: In 2007, you appeared in many dramas and movies. Which film do you like most?
LJK: I like all the films I participated in. However, Time of Dog and Wolf is a special film in which I tried my best to show a totally different image. Luckily, it was welcomed by audience. Therefore, Time of Dog and Wolf is a very meaningful to me.
Sohu: What is your plan in 2008?
LJK: I'm performing in the new drama of SBS television Iljimae. Hopefully, this trial will bear fruit as last year. I also hope that audience will love this role. Iljimae is a historical film which is different from other ones. I hope this challenging will be accepted by audience. I believe that if I try my best, the viewers will show corresponding regards. So, please wait for my performing in this new film.
Sohu: There's a lot rumors that you will appear in the television movie of Hai Nham. Have you thought about playing film in China?
LJK: My performing professor esteems me so high, I feel really surprised. If time permits, certainly I hope to have an opportunity to cooperate with them. However, I haven't reached final decision. What the press reported is rather sudden to me.
Now we only contact to get acquainted. If there's good scenario, I will play in Chinese drama.
Sohu: Not long ago, it was reported that your image in Iljimae was revealed in Korea. Lately, it turned out that one of your Chinese fans created the photograph and then sent it to CY. Your fans love you so much that make us admire. A star usually keeps distance with fans, but you seem different. Can you say about this?
LJK: I never think I should keep distance with fans. Although I can't meet all my fans, I can exchange relations with them on the net. Besides visiting official fanclub web, I also create a private room on the net.
Contacting with fans on the Internet is really important to me. I can use internet to evoke feelings of my fans. Through internet, I know that although Iljimae hasn't been aired yet, it gains much attentions from people. This makes me enthusiastic and cheerful. I hope I can contact with fans more.
Sohu: Please reveal a little about the state of filming Iljimae!
LJK: Up to now, there haven抰 been many scenes of mine in Iljimae. From now to when the film is broadcasted, I will have many action scenes. The backstage staff and I will try our best. I hope the viewers will welcome Iljimae.
Sohu: Can you say about your wishes in new year?
LJK: First of all, I wish a good health. With actors like me, health is most important. I also hope everybody will be healthy. Personally, I hope the new film will go smoothly and be welcomed by audiences. Moreover, I also hope to hold a fan meeting in this year.
