Kebab (Urdu: کباب ) (also occasionally transliterated as kebap, kabab, kebob, kabob, kibob, kebhav, kephav) refers to a variety of meat dishes in Persian Turkish, Caucasian, Central Asian, South Asian and some of the African cuisines, consisting of grilled or broiled meats on a skewer or stick.
The most common kebabs include lamb and beef, although others use goat, chicken, fish, or shellfish. Observant Muslims and Jews do not use pork for kebabs because of religious and cultural prohibitions, but pork kebabs can be found in Armenia, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Georgia, Greece and India, especially in the state of Goa. Like other ethnic foods brought by immigrants and travelers, the kebab has become part of everyday cuisine in multicultural countries around the globe.

Pita Kebab
Bahan-bahan ( 6 biji kebab )
3 keping roti pita (kali ni, kak ogy guna roti pita berbijan)
10 keping nugget ayam
1 biji tomato
1 biji timun
4 sudu besar mayonaise
5 sudu besar sos cili
sedikit lada sulah (jika suka)
Cara-cara 1.Goreng nugget kemudian potong dadu. 2.Tomato di potong dadu. 3.Timun dihiris mancis. 4.Campurkan semua bahan yang telah dipotong kedalam mangkuk besar. Campurkan mayonaise, sos cili dan sedikit lada sulah. Gaul sebati. 5.Roti pita dipotong dua. Panaskan selama 2 minit dalam microwave. Kemudian bolahlah isikan bahan yang telah siap diadun kedalam roti pita.

Texans would probably like to lay claim to the fajita, but history gives credit to Mexican ranch workers living in West Texas (along the Rio Grande on the Texas-Mexico border) in the late 1930s or early 1940s. When a steer was butchered, the workers were given the least desirable parts to eat for partial payment of their wages. Because of this, the workers learned to make good use of a tough cut of beef known as skirt steak. In Spanish, fajita is a form of the word faja which translates to "belt" or "girdle" in English.
The fajita is truly a Tex-Mex food (a blending of Texas cowboy and Mexican panchero foods). The Mexican term for grilled skirt steak is arracheras, and its American counterpart is fajitas. Today, the term fajita has completely lost its original meaning and has come to describe just about anything that is cooked and served rolled up in a soft flour tortilla. The only true fajitas, however, are made from skirt steak.

Chicken Fajitas Recipe:
makes 4 fajitas (using 8 inch round tortillas)
1 large boneless, skinless chicken breast
1/2 green pepper
1/2 red pepper
1 small onion
For the marinade:
1/4 cup of canola oil
1 teaspoon of chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon of cumin powder
1/4 teaspoon of kosher salt
a few grinds of fresh pepper
4 medium-size flour tortillas
Toppings options:
Salsa, guacamole, sour cream, shredded cheddar, lime wedges.
In a plastic bag or baking dish, mix all ingredients from the marinade.
Dry chicken and cut into strips.
Seed peppers and remove the white internal parts. Cut into strips.
Thinly slice onion.
Mix all the ingredients with the marinade, coating well. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, up to 4 hours.
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, just enough to coat the bottom of the skillet. Once oil is hot, pour contents from the marinade bag/dish into the skillet. Brown chicken on both sides, turn heat down to medium and cook until the onions are soft and brown and the meat is fully cooked, about 6 minutes more, stirring every once in a while.
Heat the tortillas on a grill or oven.
Serve the chicken hot along with the toppings and warm tortillas.

Kebab döner (döner kebab dalam Bahasa Turki atau biasanya dipanggil kebab, döner, doner, donner, donair) yang secara harfiah bermakna "panggang berpusing" adalah nama digunakan pada sebuah hidangan dibuat dengan isi daging biri-biri (atau kambing), lembu atau ayam. Sesetengah orang telah membandingkan kebab doner dengan shawarma dan gyros,mungkin kerana daging serupa dapat digunakan, tetapi ia sangatberlainan dalam segi kepadatan dan/atau bentuk. Kebab doner biasanyadibalut dalam roti leper jenis tortilla, dan shawarma biasanya dalampita atau bentuk sandwich. Gyros sentiasa dibalut dalam pita. Perbezaanpada kepadatannya juga amat besar. Gyros hampir selalu mengandungiramuan sedikit yang sama. Kebab doner dan shawarma pula, bolehdiletakkan ramuan salad seperti lobak atau kobis merah dan pudina segardan juga beberapa sos berkrim ataupun sos panas.

Cara-cara - Masak daging cincang tu kejap, smp air daging agak2 kering.
- Masukkan sos tomato, sos cili, bbq sauce, sos tiram, kicap manis,paprika, mix herbs, salt n spice. Masak smp daging dan sos sekata.
- Bile daging da masak, masukkan bawang, timun dan tomato..kacau smp masak...tutup api..
- Reheat roti pita dlm microwave, sapu mayonis, masukkan inti, sapu mayo lagi atas inti...siap!!!

Kebabs have become very popular in Western Food culture over the last few decades and are commonly referred to as "shish kebab" at cookouts and American menus. Shish kebab is translated to skewer of grilled meat and encompasses many variations of the kebab.
In the Middle East, kebabs are not always prepared on a skewer and do not always consist of cubed meat and veggies.
Since kebab are prepared in just about every Middle Eastern country, there are several spellings, such as kabob, kebob, kebap, kabab, and kebab.

Beef Shish Kebab
Ingredients:
•2 lbs beef sirloin or tenderloin, cut into 1 inch cubes
•1/2 cup olive oil
•1 tablespoon white vinegar
•1 teaspoon cumin
•1/2 teaspoon coriander
•1/2 teaspoon paprika
•1 teaspoon garlic, minced
Preparation:
24 hours prior to grilling, prepare marinade by combining olive oil, vinegar, corinader, garlic, cumin, and paprika. Pour marinade into freezer bag and add beef cubes. Allow to marinate in the refrigerator until ready to grill.
Remove from refrigerator and thread meat onto skewers that have been sprayed with cooking oil.
Spray grill with cooking oil to prevent sticking. Grill for 5-7 minutes on each side or until desired doneness.
Serve over a bed of white rice, salad, and pita bread.
