auntie, baca nie dulu....... kang kena cop bodoh lak.......  Controversies regarding Dr. Zakir Naik are referred. This is an official joint statement by Siti Kasim and me, Asiah Abd Jalil.
1) Out of 19 Plaintiffs in the civil suit filed to ban Dr. Zakir Naik from Malaysia, of which three are Muslims, pak lebai are only targeting on me and Siti Kasim. Why? Simply because we both are women! Obviously Muslim women are always seen as easy target.
2) Dr. Zakir Naik is well-known as so-called expert in comparative religion. What is the purpose of organizing a debate with Siti Kasim and me, who are already Muslims? Out of 19 Plaintiffs, there are many non-Muslims that Dr. Zakir Naik can easily choose and pick.
3) However this case is now officially an ongoing court case. It is subjudice and even would amount to contempt of court if Dr. Zakir Naik, the subject matter of this civil suit, challenges any of the Plaintiffs for a debate. Let the court decide, whether Dr. Zakir Naik deserves to be on Malaysian soil and granted permanent resident status.
4) The supporting affidavit and exhibits in this civil suit have been filed in court. It is against legal ethics to disclose the content of the documents before the commencement of court proceeding. Hence at this point of time, it is premature to insist on us to present the public the evidence and justification on our allegations against Dr. Zakir Naik.
5) We both firmly stand by our decision to be part of this civil suit. We will not be affected by any attack, threat, fatwa, etc. against us.
