antique dulu ada kedai kat bangsar village yg jual macam2 baklava tapi sekarang tak tahu still ada ke tidak, dah lama tak pegi situ.....

cranko...phyllo pastry ni ada jual kat mana2 supermarket....syah selalu beli kat ntuc...bahagian frozen food. tapi kena baca ingredients sbb ada yg guna bahan tak halal.

yg syah selalu beli packaging dia red color...tapi sorry....tak ingat nama brand lak.

antique....cuba cari di wagon atau cart yg jual manisan dari timur tengah....yg syah tau kat klcc...lg...yg banyak2 jualan carts tu. di restaurant bukhara klcc tingkat 2 pun ada jual manisan ni. selain tu restaurant tarbush @ bukit bintang dan ampang point...restaurant al rawsha kat jln damai off jalan ampang....sahara tent kat fortuna hotel bukit bintang.

sekarang dah senang cari makanan timur tengah kat kl...esp now musim arab membanjiri kl :bgrin:

Sekarang ni dah senang dapat dah kat m'sia cuma but quite xpensive gak lah
GH penah jumpa kat apa nama building tu entah kat seberang ampang park tu... situ ada jual banyak dessert pak arab nih

ptg tadi manage to make baklava..... ada modification skit to suit foil pan.... nanti mas tepek steps tapi tak sempat tonite....


beli dari cold storage, 1 paket cukup saje tamak haloba beli 2

BAKLAVA

A/
14 sheets Phyllo pastry

B/Filling
¾ cup pistachio nuts (1cup)
¾ cup pecan nuts
¾ cup walnuts  (1 cup)
6Tb brown sugar
2 1/2tsp cinnamon powder
½ orange rind (parut dari 1/2 orange)

C/Syrup
½ cup water
¼ cup honey
¼ cup orange juice
2/3cup sugar
½ orange rind (balance dari tadi)

D/
150gm melted butter

1. Chop ketiga2 jenis nuts, not too coarse and not too fine.
2. Masukkan bahan2 B lain dan gaul rata.
3. Masak bahan2 C (syrup) hingga didih. Tuang 1/3 atau lebih syrup keatas kacang tadi sekadar cukup untuk bindkan kacang.. Tepikan.
4. Potong kertas gris  lebih besar saiz dari phyllo sheet tadi. Susun 1 sheet atas grease paper dan sapu melted butter atas sheet tadi. Ulang hingga sheet ke14.
5. Potong  2 seperti dalam gambar sekali dengan grease paper dibawah.



6. Tolakkan separuh phyllo sheet ke dalam tin 7

sbb baca topic ni hr tu pi intai kt bangsar village..jumpa..depa potong 4 segi kecik n boh lm papercup sekali tgk rega..rm12+ utk 100 gram..tak jdk la beli..mahal sgt :geram:

mmg mahal depa juai baklava ni kat KL.  ari tu pon i ada beli kat mana ntah..lupa plak..punya la mahal, tapi sbb dah teringin sgt, beli gak la..

tingat masa time study kat canada dulu, slalu buat gathering ngan mak-mak arab ni, baklava ni selalu ada..kitorang pon sedap jer la makan..heheheh...nak buat tak gheti..nak blajor maleh..rugi jer la ni tak tau camner nak buat..dok teringat jer la..

actually baklava ni pon banyak varieties gak..ada yg manis sgt, ada yg sedang-sedang je..rupa pon ada lain-lain...rasa pon lain-lain sket..

soulha, zie dah cuba buat.. guna beras jepun..sedap jugak..anak suka makan tp mama ngan ayahnya makan skit jer..takleh nak telan sgt..mungkin sebab kitaorang jenis tak minum susu segar tanpa perasa..hehe..anyway, thanks sudi berkongsi resepi.
