Hmmm...not sure about those new gen consoles being more powerful than a PC...
New gen consoles might(and from the looks of it) get a head start once they are released but i have confidence in PCs hardwares so they'll catch up soon.

Factor 5's PS3 ExclusivityCell chip sways former Nintendo developer to Sony.
by Patrick Klepek, 05/23/2005
On Nintendo 64 and GameCube, development studio Factor 5 committed itself to developing Star Wars games for Nintendo-based hardware. Apparently not anymore, though, as the company seems to be switching exclusivity gears towards PlayStation 3 for next-generation, according to an interview with News.com.
Factor 5 has already played with Microsoft's Xbox 360, but said the PlayStation 3's 3.2GHz Cell chip offered more processing power over the other hardware options. The added power, allowing for a more realistic gaming experience, fueled the company's decision. Factor 5 made no comment on Nintendo's Revolution in the story.
Regardless of the company's personal preference, however, they say the next-generation should offer much to gamers and developers. "I was shocked by how powerful the new consoles are," said Factor 6 president Julian Eggebrecht to News.com. "They should really free our development." |

Sony Drops PS3 Router Functionality
It's so typically Sony. They promise you the moon, get you all excited over some nice-looking movies and some sexy hardware. They flirt and tease and drop not-so-subtle hints. And then when you finally get them home, they shut the door in your face. And you end up with all that...excitement and nothing to do.
Sony, we have a name for creatures like you.
The latest feature to quietly drop is the vaunted PS3 router functionality, which was supposed to transform your console into a massive wireless hub capable of managing all your electronics and guiding alien starships. So then, what's gonna happen to all those network ports on the back? Are they even going to exist anymore?
Sigh. Next thing you know, the controllers are going to have wires.
Promises, promises.

I couldnt care less. Who among us gonna use the HUB function anyways.
