kalau ikut novel.. bourne patutnya dah kahwin dengan awek dia dari first film dan dapat anak-anak...
anyway, bourne novels pun well researched by Robert Ludlum, he is an excellent novelist

The Bourne in Jason would be irreplaceable hahahhaahaha The BOURNE in Matt DAMON potrays a sense of wit, intelligent, highly and acutely developed mental awareness, a well developed geometrical thinking and i dunno  may be  a sense of finesse in terms of psikomotor skills.. and these qualitiea are significantly different that BOND, the JAMES bond.....

only recently , that Mr Bond has trying to adopt the witty approach when confronted by an enemy instead of relying too much on the gadgets rather than the brain.....


but bourne is unique lah..i like Ludlum's character of Mr DAvid WEBB.......just that

in the film he does not have whatis her name Marie St Jacques ( as stated in teh novel) oh ya he has NIKKI kan? ( julia Stiles)

Jeremy Renner Cast In 'The Bourne Legacy'

After months of speculation, Universal has officially named actor Jeremy Renner as the star of "The Bourne Legacy."

According to Deadline, the two-time Oscar nominee (for "The Hurt Locker" and "The Town") is expected to "sign on quickly" to play a new character in the spin-off film written and directed by "Bourne" screenwriter Tony Gilroy.

Renner will reportedly play an operative from a covert government program that is even more dangerous than the Treadstone brainwashing program that hatched Jason Bourne, memorably played by Matt Damon in the first three hit films.

For those who have been following the ups and downs of the "Bourne" saga, Renner's casting is not at all a surprise, given reports that leaked earlier this month saying he had been offered the role. The actor beat out a slew of talented and buzzworthy contenders, which reportedly included Alex Pettyfer, Taylor Kitsch, Dominic Cooper, Garrett Hedlund and Luke Evans.

Gilroy has previously stated that although Damon's Bourne will not be a part of "Legacy," he has left the door open for future Bourne-centric films down the road.

"The easiest way to think of it is an expansion or a reveal," Gilroy said of his story for "Legacy." "Jason Bourne will not be in this film, but he's very much alive. What happened in the first three films is the trigger for what happens. I'm building a legend and an environment and a wider conspiracy. ... The world we're making enhances and advances and invites Jason Bourne's return [down the road]."

Production is said to begin in September.

BREAKING: The search is over. Universal Pictures has formally offered Jeremy Renner the lead role in the Tony Gilroy-directed The Bourne Legacy. Renner, who has been nominated for Oscars the past two years for his work in The Hurt Locker and The Town, is expected to sign on quickly to play a new character in the spinoff film that begins production in September. Like the Jason Bourne character played by Matt Damon in the first three The Bourne Identity thrillers, Renner will play an operative from a covert government program that is even more dangerous than the Treadstone brainwashing program that hatched Bourne.

Renner was one of the names rumored as the studio went through two cycles of tests over eight weeks to find the right guy. That decision was made today. Even though Renner plays an operative in the upcoming Mission: Impossible-Ghost Protocol, the studio felt clearly that he was in a position similar to where Damon was when his career took off with Bourne. Renner is not a kid, but he is really hitting his stride and poised to become a big star after numerous strong performances.

The studio looked closely at a number of up and coming stars, and tested the likes of Joel Edgerton (The Thing), Dominic Cooper (The Devil's Double), Garrett Hedlund (Tron: Legacy) and Luke Evans (The Amateur American). Other names in the mix included Taylor Kitsch and Anthony Mackie.
