'Chennai Express' to become the biggest Bollywood release in UK

London: Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan's latest film 'Chennai Express' will get the biggest release for any Indian film in the UK. The comic caper, co-starring Deepika Padukone and directed by Rohit Shetty, will hit cinemas around the world on next Friday.
"I am very glad the film is getting such a big release here. UK audiences are fantastic. I don't believe that actors have regional appeal but I have to accept that some of my star value is largely down to audiences here," said Shah Rukh Khan, during a promotional tour for the film in London.
"With all humility and kindness, I would like to request them to keep watching my films the same way. It is a great fun film, the kind I haven t done before and I promise it will be a great ride," he added, speaking to media-persons.

Difahamkan citer Shahrukh Khan, Chennai Express telah mencipta sejarah apabila dapat kutipan 100 crore. Berikut adalah rekod yg dicipta oleh Chennai Express:

1) The film was the fastest entrant on the 100 crore club. In a matter of merely 3.5 days, the film made an earning of 100.42 crores at the domestic box office.
2) The film earned the highest opening weekend moolah ever. Never before has a film earned over 93.60 crores in three days.
3) The film marked Rohit Shetty’s 4th consecutive 100 crore raking film after Golmaal 3, Singham and Bol Bachchan.
4) Never before has any actress delivered three back-to-back 100 crore grossing films in just one year. Actress Deepika Padukone in 2013 has given 3 films which have reached beyond the 100 crore mark namely, Race 2, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Chennai Express. The actress still has another film lined up this year, which is Ranveer Singh starrer Ram Leela. It is to be seen whether the film too will reach the coveted mark or not!
5) Again, never before has any actress claimed the Top 3 positions on Koimoi’s Opening Weekend List before Deepika Padukone.
6) The film recorded the highest Thursday collection in the International Box Office Market.
7) The film recorded the highest Sunday collections held by any film at the domestic box office. The film on its 1st Sunday made an earning of whooping 32.50 crores.
The film recorded the highest Friday ever in neighboring country Pakistan where the film made a business of $80,000 i.e. 48 lacs from 36 screens.
9) In its U.S circuit, the film made a new record by becoming the highest non-holiday preview ever. From its Thursday previews alone, the film made 1.47 crores.
10) Chennai Express by far is the fastest earner in the Overseas market ever and given SRK’s huge fan following in global circuits, it isn’t a surprise!

ada lagi....buat sementara ni, panggung Odeon tu yg tayang filem2 Hindi sejak TGV capsquare tutup...kalo dak mmg TGV capsquare yg jadi pusat filem2 Hindi yg baru keluar....Odeon baru tayang Ghanchakkar (best) n Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (best) dalam tempoh 2 bulan lepas...Personally aku tak suka sangat Odeon sbb hanya boleh beli tiket dekat2 nak show sahaja sbb diorang nak tunggu cukup quota dulu...pastu pawagam dia kecik skit, kerusi taklah selesa sangat utk filem2 berdurasi lebih dua jam....tapi mujur la Odeon tu tak ramai orang, free seating so boleh pilih seat yg jauh2 sikit dari screen. Utk filem SRK mcm Chennai Express ni biasanya TGV n GSC pun turut tayang, so boleh dapat seat lebih selesa utk filem2 SRK di Malaysia. |

sebenarnya idea mengabungkan Bintang Bollywood dengan Kollywood dah lama ada macam Rajinikanth dengan Rekha dalam Filem Phool Bane Angaray (1991).....
