The Kaaba
"Three of the Arabian deities were particularly dear to the Arabs of the Hijaz: al-Lat (whose name simple meant"the Goddess") and al-Uzza (the Mighty One), who had shrines at Taif and Nakhlah respectively, to the southeast of Mecca, and Manat, the Fateful One, who had her shrine at Qudayd on the Red Sea coast. These deities were not fully personalized like Juno or Pallas Athene. They were often called the banat al-Lah, the Daughters of God, but this does not necessarily imply a fully developed pantheon. The Arabs used such kinship terms to denote an abstract relationship: thus banat al-dahr (literally," daughters of fate") simply meant misfortunes or vicissitudes. The term banat al-Lah may simply have signified"divine beings."These deities were not represented by realistic statutes in their shrines but by large standing stones, similar to those in use among the ancient Canaanites, which the Arabs worshipped not in any crudely simplistic ways but as a focus of divinity."
"Before Muhammad appeared, the Kaaba was surrounded by 360 idols, and every Arab house had its god. Arabs also believed in jinn (subtle beings), and some vague divinity with many offspring. Among the major deities of the pre-Islamic era were al-Lat ("the Goddess"), worshipped in the shape of a square stone; al-Uzzah ("the Mighty"), a goddess identified with the morning star and worshipped as a thigh-bone- shaped slab of granite between al-Taid and Mecca; Manat, the goddess of destiny, worshipped as a black stone on the road between Mecca and Medina; and the moon god, Hubal, whose worship was connected with the Black Stone of Kaaba.http://www.adishakti.org/_/before_muhammad_appeared_the_kaaba.htm buta?

Ha ha ... dah kantoi mulalah nak ubah topik. Ko betul2 buta sejarah.
Berhala mula2 dibawak ke kaabah ~ 450 thn sebelum Nabi Muhammad(saw) oleh Amr LuhayiAmar ibn Luhai Al-Khuzai was the first person to change the religion of Ismail (A), he introduced idol worshiping in Al-Ka’bah. He was also the first person to introduce superstitions. Rough estimate suggests that Luhai was from the first century of Christian Era (CE), around 500 years before the birth of Prophet Muhammad .
He traveled to Syria where the Amalekites lived. They were a powerful civilization at that time. Luhai saw them worshiping idols and they told him that their sources of power was these idols. Whenever there was a natural disaster or a threat of enemy, they used to pray to these idols and miracle happened. So Luhai requested them to gift him one of these idols. They gave him an idol named ‘Hubal’, Luhai brought it back and put it in Al-Ka’bah. So Hubal became the very first idol of the Arabian peninsula and also the main idol of the Quraish. That is why, hundreds of years later, in the battle of Badr, when Abu Sufian thought they have won, he shouted ‘Hubal has won!’.
How can one man change the religion of Ismail (A) and Ibrahim (A)?
The question arises here that how can one man change the religion of his people? How would he convince others and why would they listen to him? Allah knows best but we can find at least three factors that might have been there.
Inferiority complex : The Amalekites were a powerful nation, they had great history, big buildings, undefeated in battles etc. They were the feared nation. So Luhai felt an inferiority complex, he assumed that they must be correct in everything since they are so powerful.
Reputed authority : why would his people listen to him? He was not just a simple person, he was the chieftain of the tribe Khuza’a. He was one of the most respected man of this tribe and his people loved him. That is why when he brought a theology, people followed him.
Ignorance : between Luhai and Ismail (A), there have been at least 2000 years without any Prophet or guidance. Therefore ignorance prevailed and people started to deviate from the teaching of Ismail (A) and Ibrahim (A).
Yg ko dok terkinja kinja macam beruk kena belacan ingat ko ada information yg kami muslm tak tau tu buat apa? Lagi sekali ko tonjolkan kebodohan ko pasal ko langsung tak tau sejarah.
