Klasnic Poised To Sign New Deal. Borowski Set To Follow
Ivan Klasnic has assured Werder Bremen that he will sign a new contract this week.
The Croatian striker, who has recovered from a double kidney transplant, is set to sign a new deal this week. His current deal expires at the end of June.
The forward is back in training after his second transplant proved successful in March. He is keen to put the ordeal of the last year behind him and commit his future to Werder.
"I will sign this week," said Klasnic. "I went on holiday recently which delayed things, but it's all been discussed and there are no problems."
Werder are also keen on keeping international Tim Borowski at the Weser Stadion. The midfielder only has 12 months left on his current deal and the club want him to extend his stay.
揥e have already spoken to his agent and are keen to reach an agreement in the near future, |

Klose Joins Bayern!
The early transfer of Miroslav Klose from Werder Bremen to Bayern Munich has just been announced. After weeks of speculation the deal has now been done.
In an announcement to Kicker, it has been revealed that the German striker will join the Bavarian side now rather than at the end of his contract in July 2008.
This ends weeks of speculation. Exact details of the transfer have yet to be agreed, but it is thought that Bayern have raised their initial offer of |

Klaas Jan Huntelaar To Replace Klose?
Now that it has been confirmed that Miroslav Klose will join Bayern Munich, Werder Bremen must turn their attention to finding a replacement.
Despite claims that they have not got a player in mind to replace the German international, Werder are already being linked with a move for Dutch starlet Klaas Jan Huntelaar.
The young Ajax striker has been continually linked to a move away from Holland to a major European club. Now that Werder have |

Bayern Munich sign striker Klose
MUNICH, Germany (Reuters) -- Bayern Munich signed striker Miroslav Klose from Bundesliga rivals Werder Bremen on Tuesday, taking their close-season spending spree to around 70 million euros ($94.22 million).
Klose, top scorer at the 2006 World Cup finals in Germany, will take part in his first training session as a Bayern player on Friday, the club said in a statement.
The 29-year-old Germany striker joins for an undisclosed fee after Werder agreed to sell him with a year left on his contract.
Klose is Bayern's eighth major close-season signing after they finished fourth in the table last term, missing out on a place in the Champions League.
The other new arrivals are Luca Toni, Franck Ribery, Ze Roberto, Jose Ernesto Sosa, Marcell Jansen, Jan Schlaudraff and Hamit Altintop.
Bayern spent around 60 million euros to bring in those seven players. While details of the deal with Werder were not disclosed, the club had said they were prepared to pay around 10 million euros for Klose.
"Bayern fulfilled our expectations and we approved the transfer under those conditions," Werder's general manager Klaus Allofs said on Tuesday.
"It's a fair solution for both sides," Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said.
A statement by Werder said Bayern had made a "vastly improved" offer Monday for the Polish-born striker.
Werder said the two clubs had agreed not to reveal the transfer fee, but Bild newspaper said Bayern were paying $20.2 million to obtain the striker in the biggest deal inside the Bundesliga this summer.
Bayern angered Werder officials by approaching Klose shortly before a UEFA Cup semifinal game last season. The meeting was revealed in the German media and Klose later apologized to Bremen.
Werder had insisted that it would not allow Klose to leave for another Bundesliga club before his contract was over. Klose later said he would join Bayern sooner or later, but that he would prefer to go immediately.
Desire to leaveKlose's desire to leave was a factor in the club's decision to let him go, Werder said.
"We know that we are losing a successful player," Werder said, but added that it made no sense to keep a player eager to leave after receiving a new offer from Bayern.
Werder coach Thomas Schaaf said he was sorry to see Klose go but believed that the club had made the right decision since the player did not want to stay.
"This will allow the club to have an unburdened start in the new season," Schaaf said.
Klose came to Bremen -- they won the German Cup in 2006 -- from Kaiserslautern and scored 53 goals in 89 Bundesliga games in three season.
He went into a slump in the second half of the past season and scored only three goals for Bremen after the winter break. The fans turned against him after his contacts with Bayern became known.
Bremen finished third and will play in the qualifying round of the Champions League, while Bayern will be in the UEFA Cup.
With Klose struggling, Bremen turned to Sweden striker Markus Rosenberg, a midseason acquisition from Ajax Amsterdam, who finished the season with eight goals and could become a starter now.
In Bayern, Klose will reunite with his Germany partner Lukas Podolski. But Podolski struggled in his first season with Bayern and with the arrival of Toni, he could become a reserve. (ape jadahnya!!partner je la lembut & poldi kat depan)..toni masuk reserve
Klose's arrival could also mean the departure of Roy Makaay( ), who led Bayern with 16 goals last season and was Bundesliga's second leading scorer but had to face criticism for uneven performances |
