The skinship shown between actor Song Jae Rim and actress Kim So Eun on "We Got Married" has attracted some attention and even prompted a fashion photo shoot featuring the two actors, titled Six Degrees of Skinship.

In a recent interview with Star Style magazine, the actor says his style of affection on the virtual marriage show is not that different from the way he is when he dates someone. None of his affectionate gestures on the show are scripted.

"I act exactly as I think and feel so when I watch the broadcast, I realize, 'Ah, this is so my style," he told Star Style magazine. "My real dating life is the same as the one on the broadcast. I don't think that it's a broadcast when we are filming so everything just comes out naturally."

Except that in real life, he is not getting married. He is not even dating. His last relationship was four years ago.

"After that I never once touched the skin of the opposite sex," he said.
What went wrong? It was his busy schedule as an actor and the stress it provoked.

"We dated for about two years but as time passed, I felt I didn't have enough time to be truly loving," he said. "It was a time when I worried every day about the future so I could not give her enough love. I think I could not continue a relationship where I was considerate of the other person because I was so overwhelmed by my worries."

His career seems to be on stable footing now. In 2014 he appeared in four dramas, "Inspiring Generation," "Big Man," "Secret Love" and "The Idle Mermaid." He also appeared in the film "Tunnel 3D."

And he and Kim So Eun have become one of the more popular couples in recent "We Got Married" history.

What is he really looking for in a real-life relationship? He wants a woman he can communicate with and one who understands his quirky nature.

"I know that I am a bit of an oddball," he said. "I would like a woman who could understand and relate to that. I also hope she is someone who understands loneliness. If she knows loneliness, she will know what it is to receive love as well."

As far as looks go, he does not have an ideal type.
Part of the reason he joined "We Got Married" is so the audience would see a different and more personal side of him.
Is there something a prospective date should know about him? If you go on a movie date with him, be warned. He's very sensitive and cries easily.

"When I watch movies, I tear up," he said. "When I watch romantic comedies, I tear up. When I see men being loyal to each other, I tear up."

Besides the interview in Style Star magazine, the actor was also interviewed for the December issue of Marie Claire.
