The leader of the event as well as Cultural Commentator Jang Dukhyun said, "'Lovely Runner' is a very low-budget content. I can see that it turned successful because they hired potential actors and produced it perfectly"
Son Jeongwook, the team leader of Rakuten and Viki content purchasing·partnership, explained, "Rakuten and Viki are OTT platforms that mainly provide paid Korean Dramas, and the romcom (genre) like 'Lovely Runner' is the most popular (in the platform)".
Participants in the event cited the excellent production capabilities of large studios, the use of the original work (Web Novel 내일의 으뜸), a proven intellectual property (IP), the selection of distribution platforms that match the nature of the content, active marketing using SNS, etc as factors for the popularity of 'Lovely Runner'.
They also didn't forget to compliment the actors. Leader Team Son said, "I think that Byeon Wooseok has potential even before 'Lovely Runner', but he becomes more popular after the drama released". Commentator Jung added a high-compliment, "I think that Kim Hyeyoon is such an incredible actrees".
"Ain't 'Lovely Runner' is actually a low-budget content? I am definitely not saying that THESE actors are weak. I approved that Kim Hyeyoon actress is incredible. She will be a big actress in the future. However, I think (the production team) is awesome for hiring potential people who still have not have that big recognition (refering to the whole production)".

Rasanya tongtong yg baru2 muncul ni…tongtong lama ok je, ramai yg suka kat mbak hye yoon…siap ada yg komen panjang2 kat video salon drip tu puji2 mbak…
