Lee Seung Gi treats his friends like kings and queens

Lee Seung Gi is now the emperor of gifting.

Kpopfever.com has reported on IU receiving an expensive gift from Lee Seung Gi on the December 20th article, ‘IU tells the reason behind the expensive gift from Lee Seung Gi’.

It was revealed that Lee Seung Gi gave IU a high priced bracelet as a thank you for making a guest appearance in his concert.

However, IU isn’t the first person who has confessed to receiving a luxurious gift from the emperor himself. Davichi’s Kang Mingkyung made a guest appearance on SBS ‘Strong Heart’ in May and she had also confessed that Lee Seung Gi had gifted her a luxury brand wallet.

Kang Minkyung explained that she had featured on Lee Seung Gi’s album and Lee Seung Gi gifted her the wallet as a thank you. Lee Seung Gi asked Kang Minkyung on the show if she was using the wallet and she honestly confided in him that she changed it to another wallet because she didn’t like the design, making the emperor feel a bit embarrassed. But nonetheless it exemplified how Lee Seung Gi showed his appreciation in big ways.

Lee Seung Gi recently gifted fellow ’1 Night 2 Days’ castmate Eun Ji Won a luxury brand shoes as well and Eun Ji Won posted the proof shot of the shoes on his twitter account. It was revealed later that the shoes given to Eun Ji Won was a hard to find item in Korea and it’s priced at around $600 USD. Lee Seung Gi isn’t big on thanks on celebrities only, as a wedding gift to Park Min Jung PD of ’1 Night 2 Days’ he gave her a top of the line refrigerator, thus earning the name emperor once more. Lee Seung Gi is also famous for preparing and paying for ’1 Night 2 Days’ meal get togethers to help the filming crews and the casts alike with their moral and their health.

Lee seung Gi is loved by the fans for his humble and polite manners, with a well balanced mix of candor and humor. As the way he’s been treating his friends and acquaintance alike becomes news, the fans are finding even more reasons to love their star and develop a newfound respect for the multi-talented gentle giant of the entertainment industry.

For this year’s Christmas people have spoken and they want Santa Lee Seung Gi.

UC Gangnam Dental Clinic has conducted a survey on their employees and on their patients, on the actor with the most beautiful smile that is the most likable and suited to be a Santa. Lee Seung Gi was voted #1 receiving 116 votes (46.5%), taking almost half the votes in total.

It looks as though Lee Seung Gi’s famous friendly smile had a lot to do with the result. He is also beloved by the fans for his gentle manner and his kind personality, which also must have played a big role in taking a landslide of votes.

Director of UC Gangnam Dental Clinic stated, “Voters have said they found Lee Seung Gi’s even teeth and his gentle eyes very charming. Many have also mentioned if Lee Seung Gi appeared as a Santa on Christmas, they would drop everything they were doing and go to wherever Lee Seung Gi was”.

Following Lee Seung Gi actor Han Suk Kyu took 2nd place with 59 votes (23.6%) and Song Joong Ki 3rd place with 57 votes (22.8%).

It is that time of year again. It's the time when all the celebrities gather together to reflect back over the last year and get some awards. The KBS 2011 Entertainment Awards is KBS's end of year award ceremony to recognize the hard working celebrities in 2011 in the fields of Variety Shows. The MC for this year's awards will be Shin Dong Yub, SNSD's YoonA and Announcer Lee Ji Ae.

The nominee list for this year's Grand Award are as follows

• "Gag Concert" and "Birth Of A Family's" Kim Byung Man
• "Happy Together 3's" Yoo Jae Suk
• "Hello and Immortal Song 2's" Shin Dong Yub
• "1 Night, 2 Days'" Lee Seung Gi
• "Qualifying Men's" Lee Kyung Kyu

With Kang Ho Dong out of the nominee list this year due to his retirement, the list at first appears to be pretty much a one horse race, with Yoo Jae Suk being the clear favorite. However the fact that "Happy Together 3" hasn't been as successful as previous years and with the huge success of "Gag Concert" this year, especially the "Master" corner, Kim Byung Man also has a good chance to take the award for this year.

Shin Dong Yub is a low favorite. He has worked hard over the year but he failed to stand out in any great way. The talk show "Hello" has been doing quite well on Mondays, while "Immortal Song 2" has slowly been rising in prominence on Saturdays, but whether this is enough for Shin Dong Yub to get the award remains questionable.

The selection of Lee Seung Gi from "1 Night, 2 Days" seems a bit questionable. Most people would have expected Lee Soo Geun, but it appears he has been excluded from the nominee's list for some reason. "1 Night, 2 Days" is definitely popular no doubt, and with the program finally concluding next February, they might give Lee Seung Gi the award as an indirect way of giving the whole program the Grand Award.

As the winner of last year's KBS Grand Award, Lee Kyung Kyu probably has the lowest chance of getting the award this year. It's definitely not unheard of for someone to get the Grand Award for consecutive years (Just ask Yoo Jae Suk and Kang Ho Dong) but it's relatively unheard of for KBS. And with the relative drop in popularity of "Qualifying Men," it just seems unlikely that Lee Kyung Kyu will beat the other nominees to it.

Korean consumers picked Lee Seung Ki as their favorite celebrity model on TV advertisements. According to a survey conducted by Korea Broadcast Advertising Corp. (KOBACO), Lee Seung Ki received 12.5% of the votes, followed by figure skater Kim Yuna, who won 7.2% of total responses. Lee Seung Ki’s Samsung Zipel refrigerator ad was also the top pick for “most memorable TV ad.” In fact, the results come as no surprise asLee Seung Ki appeared in the most number of TV commercials in 2011.

Hyun Bin, who saw his popularity shoot up after his role in SBS drama “Secret Garden” and army enlistment, ranked #3 with 6.3% of the votes, and Kim Tae Hee came in at #4 with 6.1% of the responses.Won Bin, IU, SNSD, and Ko Hyun Jung followed on the list.

The KOBACO survey has taken place every year since 1999. It asks 6,000 people between the ages of 13 to 64 from across the country. Who is your favorite TV ad pesonality?
