Sebanyak 293 bot nelayan rosak menyebabkan 2,219 nelayan terjejas.
Kerja baik pulih dijalankan sepanjang tengah malam.
Di wilayah berjiran Sukhothai, keadaan dilaporkan masih terkawal selepas beberapa langkah diambil termasuk mendalamkan takungan besar, mengorek lebih banyak terusan dan membina empangan serta pintu kecil, kata pihak berkuasa.
Tahun lalu, wilayah terbabit menyaksikan semua sembilan daerahnya ditenggelami banjir termasuk 18 mangsa maut akibat lemas. – Agensi

Over 100,000 homes were left without power and more than 700 calls for help were made to the State Emergency Service after a storm thrashed southern parts of Western Australian on Sunday.
Now authorities are warning residents of Perth and the South West to prepare for more severe weather as another intense cold front approaches the coast.
Bureau of Meteorology Manager of Weather Services, Grahame Reader, said the next weather event will be similar in strength to the system that affected the South West on Sunday.
Winds are expected to exceed 125 kilometres an hour and there will be dangerous surf, high tides and heavy rain.
Heavy rainfall causes severe flooding and mudslides in central China's Hunan Province
June 11
Travis Brecher reports.
A man holds on for dear life, as a raging torrent threatens to sweep him away. On Monday, rescuers in central China pulled him to safety after he was stranded for hours. Heavy rainfall has plagued dozens of villages and towns in Hunan Province, triggering floods and mudslides. According to Chinese state media, local authorities have evacuated some 26,000 residents. At least 1,500 homes have been damaged, as well as thousands of hectares of farmland. Estimating losses up to 28 million US dollars, Chinese media reported that electricity and transportation services have also been affected. Seasonal rain storms hit parts of China each year. This year, the government has already warned of severe summer floods due to increased rainfall. - Travis Brecher, Reuters
USDA Wants RFID Tracking Technology To Be Mandatory In US Food Stamp Program
govt9126 | June 11, 2012 | 1 Comment
The USDA is now considering biometric identification for all individuals who will want to benefit from their Food and Nutrition Services. The RFID chip may just soon be a must for everyone who does not want to starve!
The following is an excerpt of the executive summary of the FINAL REPORT of the Use of Biometric Identification Technology to Reduce Fraud in the Food Stamp Program:
Biometric identification technology provides automated methods to identify a person based on physical characteristics—such as fingerprints, hand shape, and characteristics of the eyes and face—as well as behavioral characteristics—including signatures and voice patterns.
Although used in law enforcement and defense for several years, it has recently been used in civilian applications and shows some promise to reduce the number of duplicate cases in the Food Stamp Program (FSP) and other assistance programs.

Match: Melt glass, known as trinitite, formed during the Trinity nuclear airburst in New Mexico in 1945 when rocks melted. The scientists say the melt-glass is similar to that found in the 12,800-year-old rock
Extreme heat: The meteorite impact caused the 13,000-year-old quartz found in Syria to melt and boil, creating features including burst bubbles and flow textures
Gone forever: The meteor storm is thought to have caused the mass extinction of megafauna including the woolly mammoth
Scientists found the melt glass - evidence of the meteorite's intense heat - in Pennsylvania and South Carolina in the US along with Syria
Scientists have found compelling evidence that a meteorite storm hit the earth more than 12,000 years ago, and is likely to have been responsible for the extinction of a prehistoric people and giant animals including mammoths.
Evidence of the meteorite’s intense heat was found on two continents. The researchers believe the huge cosmic impact triggered a vicious cold snap, which caused widespread destruction.
The international team found a substance known as melt glass, which forms at temperatures of 1,7000 to 2,200 degrees Celcius and can result from a ‘cosmic body’ hitting the earth.
Spooked by mystery tremors, WR asks for Met dept probe
Posted On Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 03:25:37 AM
A series of unexplained, low-intensity tremors being felt on a daily basis in two separate pockets in south Mumbai over the last few weeks have forced office-goers to ask for a detailed seismological investigation of the area.
The offices being affected include the higher floors in a row of buildings, particularly Bharat House and Apollo House, at Bombay Samachar Marg in Kala Ghoda, and the Western Railway's headquarters and administrative buildings on both sides of the road at Churchgate.
The tremors occur between 4 and 6 pm every day, almost like clockwork, and last about 2-3 seconds.
Western Railway has written a letter to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) asking them to look into the matter, trace the cause of the tremors, and advise if there is any potential danger to the buildings. When contacted, Sharat Chandrayan, the chief public relations officer at WR, confirmed: "Certain employees working on the higher floors of the administrative building were feeling tremors at certain times of the day. We have sent a letter to the IMD to conduct a thorough scientific investigation."
DHS agencies to buy up to 7,000 new 5.56x45mm NATO “personal defense weapons”
By Madison Ruppert
5.56x45mm NATO rounds
The behemoth Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is seeking up to 7,000 select fire (meaning that they are capable of both semi-automatic and automatic fire) 5.56x45mm North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) personal defense weapons (PDWs) on top of the hundreds of millions of hollow point rounds they recently acquired.
Unfortunately, the reason for both of these major purchases and the continuing heavy armament of DHS agencies like Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) continues to go unexplained.
Turkey to purchase long-range air defense system
13 June 2012 / EMRE SONCAN, ANKARA
Amid growing uncertainties ignited by the unfolding 14-month-old Syrian crisis and escalating tension between Iran and the West, Turkey is preparing to purchase a long-range air defense system worth $4 billion to beef up its defense capabilities in order to avert any threat to its national security.
Turkey has sped up the procurement process of the system in recent months and will reach a final decision in an upcoming meeting of the Defense Industry Implementation Committee (SSİK), which will be led by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on July 4, sources from the Ministry of Defense said.
The Patriot missile long-range air defense system produced by US partners Raytheon and Lockheed Martin, Russia's Rosoboronexport with its S-400 system, China's HQ9, exported as FD-2000, and Italian-French Eurosam with its SAMP/T Aster 30 are the main competitors for the tender.
FLOODED STREETS...NOW GET READY FOR TORNADOES

WE have had weeks of seemingly endless rain, now the deluge will be joined by tornadoes as Britain’s freakish summer just gets even weirder.
Forecasters said warm moist air is likely to trigger twisters strong enough to tear roof tiles off buildings across central England from tomorrow.
It comes amid warnings that torrential downpours will get heavier with some areas facing a month’s worth of rain in three hours.
The non-stop downpours will continue to bring the risk of widespread floods until at least the end of the month – and weather experts last night predicted they could continue through July and August.
Jonathan Powell, of Vantage Weather Services, said: “Temperatures are set to rise this week and could get into the 70s.
