Plans for new F1 grade circuit in Malaysia
Singapore billionaire Peter Lim has outlined plans to construct a Formula 1 grade circuit in southern Malaysia. Situated in the Iskandar region, the proposed layout is 4.5 kilometres in length and will be part of the new 'Motorsport City' complex.
Lim, a shareholder of McLaren automotive, owns a 70 percent stake in the project through his company FASTrack Autosports Pte. Valued at $1.2 billion, the development will stretch across 270 acres, including showrooms, garages and a karting track.
"The region is fast becoming a hub for motor sports," Lim, who has acquired the services of a Formula 1 circuit designer to bring his ideas to life, said in a statement.
The test facility will be located close to the Tuas Second Link, one of two border crossings between Malaysia and Singapore. Both Asian countries already host Grands Prix at the respective Sepang International Circuit and Marina Bay venues.

aku paste komen dari gpupdate
Please God, not another boring Hermann Tilke track. Sepang already is a Hermann Tilke track, so idd, who needs another.
Bring F1 to more countries! Scrap the european GP for France or smth.
Just not another track in a country that already hosts a GP.
then again, maybe this circuit and sepang can alternate for malaysia like nürbürgring and hockenheim if they decide to build it anyway. Nah only go back to france if its paul ricard magny-cors was boring. We need something new like south africa mexico other parts of s.america. Spain should alternate. It doesnt look like nurburgring is coming back so give that slot to somewhere new or old like an updated san marino. I'm hoping that this billionaire read this comments and find somebody in the world whoever except Hermann Tilke, it's sure there's another person with the skills to design a very good track, please Mr. Lim don't ruin this future track from the beginning. what's the point of that Sepang is a great circuit with great racing why change something that isn't broken.
