Canna admits age concern

Golden Ball winner Fabio Cannavaro has admitted that he would have stayed at Juventus had he been younger.
The defender left the Bianconeri to join Real Madrid in the summer after the Old Lady was demoted to Serie B for their role in Calciopoli.
However, the new European Player of the Year believes things would have been different had he not been 33-years-old.
" laying in Serie B was not a sacrifice," Cannavaro told France Football. "Had I been younger I think I would have stayed in Turin, but then I received the offer from Spain.
"Had I stayed with Juventus I might have returned to Serie A at 35, when many players start to consider the idea of retiring.
"I had a unique chance to wear the Real Madrid outfit and continue playing at the highest level. For any other club, except Napoli of course, I would have never even considered the offer."
Cannavaro then moved on to speak about the Calciopoli scandal, although the player insists that the trophies won by Juventus were all deserved on the pitch.
"Everyone knew of Luciano Moggi's contacts and how powerful Juve were, but we had no idea how far that could go. In any case, that does not change the fact that we were the best club. :clap:
"I still remember when Mahamadou Diarra came to me and said 'Ah, Moggi ?- money!'. I tried to explain that Moggi did not visit referees to offer them money. :lol :lol (lawak la diarra ni)
"With the power he had he could influence the assignment of a referee to one match instead of another, which I know is not a normal procedure," explained the Azzurri captain.
"The problem is that people, especially abroad, believe that Juve bought the matches, but that is not true.
"It was a huge abuse of power that must be condemned, but that was also useless. We were the best and we proved it.
"On July 9 there were eight Bianconeri, plus some former players like Zinedine Zidane and Thierry Henry, on the Berlin pitch for the World Cup Final," concluded Cannavaro. |

Juventus are planning to make a move for Werder Bremen striker Miroslav Klose, according to reports in Germany.
The Bianconeri may be forced to sign a new forward as David Trezeguet?' future remains uncertain, despite the club's efforts to tie him to a new deal.
Klose appears to be top of their wish list, especially since he has recently confessed that he could leave his German club in the near future.
"I would like to decide my future as soon as possible so I can focus only on football," Klose told Bild.
"We have to see if Werder will meet my requests,?"added the international, who has made no secret of his desire to appear in a foreign League.
Klose, who was the winner of the Golden Boot at the World Cup Finals, is contracted to the club until 2008, but the Bianconeri have a good chance of bringing him to Turin next summer.
"Klose has not yet told us what his plans are. Our will is that of keeping him here, but obviously he has various requests - everything is possible," declared Werder's director general Klaus Allofs, who values the player at around £11.5m. (tak mahal!!!)
Klose is also a reported target for Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Barcelona. |

tak biasa tgk dia main.. no komen. dia 28 tahun... probably bole beli murah at 11.8m. means trez akan kuar kalau beli klose.. sebab i dun think juve will sacrifice youths (palladino n bojinov). 31m for trez at his age is a good deal. that money we need to invest beli somebody for our shaky defence or to strengthen the midfield. it wud be sad to see trez go.... byk sumbangan dia kat juve.. dah lama dia join. tp kalau masuk serie A semula, kena lebih competitive.. kenala sacrifice.. 
Juve Klose in on Miroslav

Miroslav Klose's representative has hinted that the Werder Bremen ace may join Juventus in the summer.
The German international has been strongly linked with the Turin giants and Alexander Schutt has failed to rule them out as a possible destination.
"His Werder contract expires in 2008, but you will have to ask the club whether he will be sold," the agent told calciomercato.com on Friday.
"There is a possibility that he will go, though. Where? I would say a move to a European club is more likely than a German one.
"There are three or four big clubs who would want him and one of them is Italian."
Although Schutt didn't name the peninsula side, he did telling state that Champions League football - which Juve won't have next season - is not a necessity.
"Does he want to play for a club in the Champions League? I didn? say that. He just wants to play for a great club," he added.
Klose, who caught the eye at the last two World Cup Finals, is also a player who Juve boss Didier Deschamps rates.
"We are looking for players who can help the team take a step up in quality," stated the French tactician.
"You can't dispute Klose's ability, he is a great attacker who plays in his national side and has excellent qualities. We'll see?"
The Old Lady have also been associated with Ajax and Holland sensation Klaas Jan Huntelaar.
