though we have tinggal kat umah ni abt a year, it is only this year yg kitorang plan nak reno umah, mostly on the flooring.

thanks for the advice bang mat - dat's our intention, tak mo spend too much with reno... in fact rumah yg kami pindah ni pun kami tak buat any reno, my hubby just clean and repaint the whole house je! cuma flooring je rasa cam nak kena tukar sebab mata sakit sey tengok, previous owner tak jagalah rumah ni... haiz nasib, we chose the house pun sebab me want a corner house, sebab penakut punya pukulanlah ni, kalau koridor, takut ada orang lalu lalang especially salesman :bgrin:

hutang mmg not in our dictionary - we just buat ikut kemampuan kami :bgrin:

Ada contractor eh, tak boleh solve, then pulak ko dapat neighbour bawah rumah yang macam siot, tak habis2 komplen HDB as if nothing done, tu la datangnye stress...

Aku pernah nampak ada rumah, ceiling leak dia, dah jadi cam limestone cave. Dah crystalise dah...cam icicle tau....

Memang my contractors bagus la Dep. Very professional. Aku dah recommend diorang to a few of my frens. Semua very satisfied....

Yg pasal toilet macam limestone cave tu aku pernah nampak Dep. Time tu masih tengah tengok2 rumah. Abih ada satu rumah tu, diorang dah buat toilet pat master bedroom diorang jadi store room tau. Tak pernah dibuat orang sey....habis semua ceiling diorang dah crystallize and hitam....geli sey...

kalo kata ko pegi survey rumah then nampak ceiling cam gitu...
ko think twice...

ok, the seller mesti cakap " since I dont use it, its ok , its a store room, you can just get a contractor to repair "...
cakap senang, tapi just imejin problem tak boleh solve....lepas dua tiga bulan reoccur, menangis tak berlagu ko....

Kadang2 dah icicle, jadi fungus la tu hitam2....eiiii aku bleh imejin sey :malu::malu:

Yup, like chic say ianya di panggil "overlay".  Tahun lepas Aries renovate my 2 toilets so I just ask the contractor to overlay the tiles in the 2 toilets.l

Bukan aje pasal salesman Elise....no privacy langsung....dulu Aries pun penah tinggal corridor...ish..tak boleh nak buka tingkap langsung

Chic pun tak suka corridor....bukan apa lah tapi kita pat rumah kan nak pakai yg comfortable, tengok tv baring2 kenkadang....kalau tinggal rumah yg corridor orang jalan mesti nak jenguk ke dalam....tak best ah...

Elise..kalau you buat over-lay, the cost is lower...sebab u takyah nak hack flooring you tu...but still depends on your budget..

if you ade kawan or relative yg boleh recommend kat u satu, tu lagi better..

during my time..i didn't do much reno, like u ..i pun tak suka berhutang...
dah 4 years stay, i pasang PERGO ajer for all my bedroom...tulah yg termampu..

Kalau rumah lama, cuma rumah 'corner' je yang tingkap tak depan corridor. Tu yang best.

Yang later punyer rumah (10 tahun lepas gitu).... dorang ader yg design block yang kira semua unit pat block tu takder tingkap yang menghadap korridor.... tapi ni rumah kalau kita masok pat dalam mesti gelap....

Revised Housing Loan Limit and Downpayment for Purchase of HDB flats

As announced by the Minister (ND) in Parliament on 19 July 2005, HDB will revise upwards the housing loan limit for HDB concessionary loans with immediate effect, in tandem with the upward adjustment of mortgage financing limit by banks and financial institutions.

Revisions to Housing Loans Guidelines
2) The Government has announced the following revisions to the housing loans guidelines for banks and financial institutions:
(a)Financing limit: Loan-To-Value Limit to increase from 80% to 90% of Value1 of Property.

(b)Cash Requirement: Lowered from 10% to 5% of Value.

Housing Loans From HDB for Purchase of HDB Flats
3)In line with these revisions, HDB will also revise its guidelines for granting HDB housing loan as follows:

(a)Downpayment for Purchase of Flats
The downpayment will be reduced from 20% to 10% of the Value. The 10% downpayment is fully payable with CPF monies as per existing policy.

(b)Housing Loan Ceiling
The housing loan ceiling will be raised from 80% to 90% of the Value, subject to credit assessment and full utilisation of CPF monies before loan disbursement.

Housing Loans From Banks for Purchase of HDB Flats
4As announced, under the revised housing loans guidelines, HDB flat buyers will pay a lower 10% downpayment and can obtain a mortgage loan up to the 90% financing limit from banks and financial institutions.

5The original plan was for the 10% cash downpayment for HDB flats financed with bank loans to be phased in over a period of 5 years, with a 2% increase each year starting from 1 Jan 2004. Currently, the cash portion of the downpayment is 4%. Under the revised guidelines, buyers of HDB flats who are taking bank loans will eventually have to pay 5% downpayment in cash. The last 1% increase will take effect from 1 Jan 2006.

Staggered Downpayment Scheme
6Currently, young couples who book a flat from HDB that is under construction can qualify for HDB抯 Staggered Downpayment Scheme. Under the Scheme, they can pay the downpayment in two instalments

Retrofit Your Windows Now
1)aluminium casement windows fitted with aluminium rivets which are 5 years old or more have to be retrofitted with stainless steel rivets by 30 September 2005.
2)aluminium casement windows fitted with aluminium rivets that are less than 5 years old have to be retrofitted before they reach the 5th year or by 30 September 2005, whichever is later.

rumah parents aku tak payah kot, tingkap lama nye design...

Hari ni masuk sokkabar melayu porum HDB jawab lagi pasal more cases of HDB residents lagi sikit nak kena tipu ngan kontraktor pasal benda kejadah ni.

mine kita ader panggil org tu pasajg rivets tu jugak.. i tink last 2 months gaknyer~
