- RIP Sandro Salvadore, Juventus former player who yesterday passed away
Salvadore (Captain Billy), who died in Turin on Thursday at the age of 67, soon became a pillar of Juve抯 defensive department, as he was able to play in the centre or as a full-back.
He won three more Scudetti and the Coppa Italia in 1965 before retiring in 1974, having appeared 450 times for the Bianconeri, scoring 17 times.
Salvadore was also capped 36 times by the Nazionale and was part of the team that played at the 1962 and the 1966 World Cups.
