Guinea Pig starter pack:
1. Pellet food
Depends on which brand of pellet food, from the cheapest (no brand, Hagen) to medium (Kaytee) and premium food such as Oxbow. Aku kasi Oxbow and really satisfied with it, and recommend Oxbow to all GP owners.
Pellet dia jugak usually based on 2 type of Hay, Alfafa and Timothy. Alfafa high in calcium, and sesuai untuk GP yg baru lahir hingga 6-12 months, also pregnant Guinea Pig. Timothy lak untuk selepas itu, sebab too high calcium intake boleh buat GP kene bladder stone.
2. Hay
Sama cam tadi, cari Alfafa Hay for young and pregnant GP, and Timothy for the rest. Some jual mixture of both. Aku suke Oxbow's Orchard Grass. Dia ade enough and balanced nutrien for GP. Bau dia pun harum.
3. Cage
Cage ni paling bagus solid base, with jejaring besi on top for good air ventilation. Solid base bagus sebab kalao base jejaring, GP leh luka kaki and kene penyakit bumblefoot.

Cage total jejaring macam ni quite famous jugak dues to the fact they usually ade litter tray kat bawah. So taik and air kencing senang kuar jatuh ke litter tray.
Tapi cuba you bayangkan berdiri atas jejaring macam tu, tak ke sakit kaki? Kalau nak pakai jugak, disarankan letak bathroom mat lapik tempat kaki diorang.
4. Bedding
Untuk bedding, most solid base cage guna kain jenis fleece. Sebab kalau pakai fleece, kaki GP tak tersangkut kat benang. Namun, nak pakai ni kene rajin cuci, and GP kene toilet trained. Fleece ni popular option untuk long-haired GP, sebab bulu dia tak sapu bahan2 kat bawah macam bedding lain.
Selain tu, boleh pakai commercial wood shavings. Tapi yang ni kene cari yang tak dibuat dari Fir tree, sebab Fir tree keluarkan bahan kimia jenis phenol yang merbahaya kat small animal.
Aku pakai wooden pellets. Aku rasa dia manage bau dengan sangat bagus. And dia absorb cecair dengan sangat baik.
5. Guinea Pig
Dah ade semua tu baru pikir pasal Guinea Pig. GP ade banyak jenis, main category short hair dengan long hair. Short hair paling senang nak jaga, long hair susah sikit. Kene sikat selalu takut bulu dia sangkut. And after a few month, kene rajin trim.
American shorthair paling murah and common dalam Malaysia, diikuti dengan Abbysinian. Then yang mahal sikit Sheltie dengan Peruvian. Coronet, Crowned, Rex, Teddy and Texel kira yang paling mahal and rare dalam Malaysia. |

Ya allah, just u know how happy am I now. they just cute kan? dlu Lulu penah gugur, n seriously takut gila bila perut Lulu besaq tp now see, they looks great!! alhamdulillah. nama x kasi lg sbb x sure jantina. kang jd mcm bapak dia. jup nama Coklat, jup change to Lili tiba2 haaa kluaq depa 2 nih? now nama bapak depa SAH change name to Leman. haha. cool name! nama depa pon wajib la guna huruf L nanti. hehe |

hi all...ada x sesape yg nak jual gp die...saya serius tengah carik yg sesuai...saya nak cari yg ready untuk breeding. takmo yg tua sangat atau muda sangat. kalau boleh umur samada 2, 3, atau 4 bulan....klau boleh dr jenis abby, sheltie or peruvian...kalo breed rare pon ok gak... jus bgtau je k...lokasi saya kat cheras... if ade boleh jumpe kat area kl, pj, s.alam, subang, klang... klau ade sila PM me k nak post picture pon ok gak tq~~ |
