Atalanta sign Inter misfit

Atalanta have snapped up Lambros Choutos on loan from Internazionale for the rest of the season.
Choutos only joined Inter prior to the start of the season on a free transfer from Olympiakos but has failed to establish himself at Giuseppe Meazza.
The Greece international is still waiting for his Inter bow and Roberto Mancini has allowed the attacker to join Atalanta for the remainder of the campaign.
The 25-year-old, who has previously had a spell with Roma, will look to provide the spark to ignite Atalanta's season, with the Bergamo club bottom of Serie A.
Choutos' signing is tipped to end Atalanta's interest in Marco Delvecchio, who has already rejected a switch from Roma.
With Atalanta having offloaded Gianni Comandini, Ignacio Pia, Carmine Gautieri and Luca Saudati in recent weeks, coach Delio Rossi is anxious to strengthen his squad, with Choutos the second arrival, following on from Giulio Migliaccio.

REGGIO CALABRIA - Reggina ended Inter's run of four consecutive victories, holding the Nerazzurri to a 0-0 draw in a tight encounter at the Granillo on Saturday night.
Inter's best chance of the match fell to Vieri, whose diagonal shot from Cambiasso's long ball forward on 5 minutes was saved by Pavarini. The Amaranto keeper also neutralised long-range conclusions from Adriano and Karagounis in the opening period. Nerazzurri central defenders Cordoba and Materazzi were called into action as the half went on, making interventions to deny Bonazzoli, Nakamura, Balestri and Colucci.
Reggina continued to close down the spaces after Colucci was sent off midway through the second half for a second bookable offence, and almost took the lead on 77 minutes when Tedesco surprised Toldo with a 30-yard shot which came back off the post.
The result sees Inter stretch their unbeaten run to 31 matches (15 victories and 16 draws in all three competitions).

Adriano suffers injury scare Tuesday 18 January, 2005

Adriano is likely to miss Saturday抯 clash with Chievo after suffering a calf injury, as the Brazilian has played in all of Inter抯 Serie A games so far.
The forward has been looking tired of late and is yet to score in 2005, but pulled up during training today with a twinge in his left calf muscle.
The Nerazzurri medical staff advised rest and it is now unlikely he抣l be able to play against the Flying Donkeys at San Siro.
If he is forced to sit this one out, it抣l be the first Serie A match Adriano has missed this season and in all competitions he has played 25 out of 29 available games.

Pandev takes Cesar to Inter

Goran Pandev could be the key to Cesar’s Inter move, as Roberto Mancini believes the Nerazzurri can still win the title.
“Who is top of my shopping list?” said Mancio. “Cesar, of course! I’ve been chasing him since last summer.”
Earlier in the week, Biancocelesti President Claudio Lotito invited clubs to make a bid for the talented Brazilian. Inter reiterated their interest in the player, and Lazio have now suggested a swap deal with Pandev.
The Capital club would be prepared to sell Cesar in return for co-ownership of the Macedonian attacking midfielder, who is currently on loan from the San Siro side, but must wait on Inter’s next move.
