Top 12 Singapore Idol contestants start preparing for the Finals
SINGAPORE : Want to find out what Singapore Idol finalists do on a daily basis to get ready for the Finals?
Well, you will soon find out in a new reality show.
It is now time to bond, as the 12 Singapore Idol finalists move into a private and secluded place where they will be together for three months.
Singapore Idol Extra will be the new half-hour programme that will give viewers a peek into the daily habits of the idols.
There will also be an hour-long special featuring the 12 finalists on July 5.
Mathilda Emilian D'Silva, one of the contestants, said, "It's starting to sink in, and also the hard work that's ahead is starting to sink in. So I'm just looking forward to everything."
Another contestant, Hady Mirza Amir, said, "I'm actually taking one day at a time, so I don't really know what to expect. Every single day is a new thing, so I'm just taking each day as it comes."
Contestant Jasmine Tye said, "I definitely want to go as far as I can. I want to go all the way. In every stage I want to see a breakthrough, I want to see an improvement."
Contestant Paul Twohill added, "It's really cool, because it's a once in a lifetime opportunity, and I know a lot people want this. So I've been given this opportunity, so I better grab it and do something about it. I've been very, very lucky."
Fans will now be able to interact with their favourite Idols on the Internet or their mobile phone on MoBlog ().
The first telecast of the Top 12 will be on July 12 at 8pm on Channel 5.
