[/td][/tr][tr][td=2,1,456][/td][/tr][tr][td]Despite spending last season in Serie B, Juventus will be seeded in Tuesday抯 2007-08 Serie A fixtures draw.
The Bianconeri may be among the newly promoted sides, but they are still being treated as one of the giants of the sport.

It is reported that the Lega Calcio has decided to put Juve in the seeds for the draw set to take place on Tuesday evening at 18.00 UK time.

Traditionally the teams are seeded so that the big clubs do not face each other in the first three rounds of the campaign.

Being among the new boys, it was very likely that the opening game of the Serie A season would have been a bitter grudge match between Juventus and Inter.

To avoid this possibility, Juve will be seeded along with Milan, Roma and Lazio for the draw in Rome.

The decision will only be confirmed on Monday, but talk of favouritism could well be misplaced.

Ranieri Hints At Chiellini Departure

Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri has hinted that Giorgio Chiellini will be leaving the Italian giants after he admitted he would not attempt to keep the defender and Manchester City target against his will.



Manchester City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has set his sights on the 22-year-old as the latest piece of his revolution at Eastlands and it has been felt that the player will not be returned to Turin following the forthcoming pre-season friendlies in England.

"Will he come back to Turin with us? It will depend on him, Manchester City and Juventus," Ranieri told www.skysports.com.

"He is an important player, but if he does want to leave then we surely won't keep him against his will."

Eriksson has already signed Geovanni, Rolando Bianchi, Martin Petrov and Gelson Fernandes in a busy few weeks since taking over the reigns at the club, but there seems to be plenty more of new arrivals on the way.

aku dah kata, zebina ni memang tak boleh pakai. dia main teruk. first goal yg penalty tu pun dialah yg tackle. ni baru friendly, belum official tournament lagi. grygera sepatutnya main kat kanan sekali. dia lebih bagus kalau main kat situ. utk position LB,  nampak sgt kita kehilangan sentuhan defender yg hebat. agaknyer confirm lah kot chiellini masuk man city. ranieri tak turunkan dia pun sepanjang match tu. i said it many times and im gonna say it again, WE NEED TO BUY ANOTHER CENTRAL DEFENDER. a perfect one. like cannavaro, or barzagli. its clear that our defence was the weakest link throughout the match.

almiron main bagus, im starting to like this guy. passing dia perfect. midfield kita byk control possession during the first 30 minutes. iaquinta nampak selfish sikit.  dia dgn nedved byk lepas peluang. marchionni also played well. overall, aku rasa juve main passing bagus. style passing kita cepat, so very different than capello. nampak sgt kita ni team baru. belum ada chemistry lagi. kefahaman dan cara main antara players still not there.. gives us more time, dan kita akan buktikan juve boleh jadi kuat semula.

Juventus set to move for Chelsea's Makelele



Juventus are closing in on the Chelsea midfielder Claude Makelele who has been told by his club that he can leave this summer as long as they find a replacement for him before the transfer window closes.
Makelele, 34, has just one year left on his current deal with Chelsea and, after playing a crucial role in their two Premiership titles, lost his place to John Obi Mikel at the end of last season. While Jose Mourinho believes that it will be either Mikel or Michael Essien who will be favourites for the holding midfield role this season, he would not allow Makelele to leave unless he could sign a replacement before the end of August.
The Juventus manager, Claudio Ranieri, signed Makelele from Real Madrid four years ago when he was in charge at Stamford Bridge and has targeted the France international again this summer. Chelsea have fears over the short-term fitness of Michael Ballack, who has had minor secondary surgery on his ankle, which has meant that Mourinho is short of central midfielders for the new season and is reluctant to sell without a replacement.
