It is Melbourne Cup day, and almost all the women are out in force on the streets wearing the "silly hats" that can cost up to thousands of dollars. Well, here are some of them... and this year, some "minimise" and went only for the feathers.

Hujung bulan nie i'm going to melbourne for 1 month.. company hantar training....
pada sesaper yg pernah pergi, sila lah beri apa2 panduan...
still have no clue where am i going to stay...
i nak tau pasal kedai yg halal, shopping yg best... etc....

Hmm....pernah tinggal kat Melbourne for 5 years...kalau nak shop for souvenirs & cheaper stuff go to  Victoria Market. Shopping areas banyak like David Jones, Myers, Coles and Target etc. Scenic areas eg Dandenong, Philip Island, Great Ocean Road, Arts centre and the park itself....public transport like trains and trams are very reliable.

try to give u the info as correct and current as possible as i myself left melbourne a few years ago.. kang kalu ada benda2 yg berubah, forgive me aaa

soklan pertama tu.. di melbourne senang aje nak cari makanan halal... sama ada nak cari restoran  (kalau xnak masak) atau kedai jual daging/ayam etc... senarai restoran boleh dicari di :
1) link di bahagian bawah page ini --> restoran di melbourne , atau
2) website ini  --> http://muis.monashclubs.org/ & di bahagian kiri, klik pada Resources atau Links untuk maklumat lanjut. Waktu sembahyang juga boleh didapati bila u klik di Resources tu.

Tentang kedai daging/ayam halal, ada beberapa tempat. Yang paling senang kalau u duduk di City adalah di  Sydney Road, Brunswick. Cuma naik tram no 19 di Elizabeth Street. otherwise, tanya aje restoran-restoran tu kat mana diorg dapatkan daging halal..

Kalau u pening dengan tempat2 yang i bgtau ni, boleh rujuk di http://www.melway.com.au dan klik di link Online Maps.

I suggest for your own convenience, bila kat Melbourne nanti, beli la directory Melway ni dan fahamkan cara untuk mengunakannya.. senang nak merujuk kalau nak pegi mana2.. kebanyakan iklan pun ada disertakan rujukan Melway untuk tunjukkan tempat.. dulu harganya murah aje dalam AUD25-30. Skrg ni dh mahal lagi le kot

kalau nak shopping, ada beberapa pilihan bergantung kepada taste sendiri.. tempat shopping (shopping complex) dlm City adalah seperti yg minx2005 bgtau.. kalau nak keluar sket, boleh pergi shopping complex di Chadston (atau locals panggil Chaddy aje) lebih kurang 15 minutes drive dr City.. kalau nak banyak pilihan jersi ragbi, pakaian etc, boleh pergi ke Direct Factory Outlet (DFO) di Moorabbin (lebih kurang 40-50 minutes drive dr City). Kalau nak pilihan barang2 branded yang ori (Nike, Adidas etc),boleh pergi ke Smith St di Fitzroy (naik tram no 86 dr Bourke St).. kalau nak pilihan pakaian yg mewah, boleh pergi ke Chapel St di Prahran, dekat aje ngn Malaysia Hall..


you may ask the specifics that you would like to know.. err kalu nak bawak maggi pun, bawak la, takde masalah, cuma make sure you declare dlm borang imigresen dan declare the food di airport. or else, you would just looking for trouble

tapi aku rasa ko mmg betul... sedangkan nak bawak fruits lepas dr sempadan negeri pun x boleh, inikan pulak nak lepas dr imigresen di international airport

by the way, pasal masalah bawak buah2 tu, aku try carik website yang explain pasal barang2 yg boleh bawak dan yang takleh bawak ke australia, tapi x jumpa lak... try lagi le carik kemudian sbb aku penah baca risalah dia, dulu ada aussie government agency nyer website pasal ni, luper lak kat mane

tapi buah mmh sahih takleh la, kalu buah dr vic nak bawak masuk nsw pun takleh, inikan pulak jauh dr m'sia tanpa proper certificate. nasib baik aku xpenah kena buang barang2.. rempah2, makanan yang aku declare sepanjang masuk aussie semua lepas dr red lanes tu
