Allah! T4 sampai 130.. rasa nak sound sikit doc pertama yg jumpa you yg tak treat walaupun dah tah ...
possible kena surgery tak doc? .. grave's disease run in family...punca mcm kepada genetic je .i ada tanya doctor last time punca apa tp dia ckp sbb hormone.ntah jawapan x promising.. ..

T4 tu ialah L-3,5,5-Tetraiodothyronine
T3 ialah Triiodothyronine
TSH = Thyroid Stimulating Hormone
Dalam your case, ianya kerana thyroiditis lah ie satu inflammamtion of the thyroid gland
Hmm depa tahu tak your family ada Grave's Disease.. ni runs strongly in the family tau.. i baru nak cakap kat atas asal mereka tak miss Graves Disease cukup lah

hahaha.boleh lepak je doc sy sekarang ni..x boleh nk jog sementara treatment..
last year sy jogging..mcm nk tercabut jantung masa tu .x sampai 2 min jogging.. . short breath kejap..lps tu stop terus...buat briswalk ..tp thn ni stop terus exercise.nk berjalan jauh sikit pun mengah.

TSH dia memang slow utk turun, ia dibuat dari Pituitary Gland dibawah otak.
jadi kami selalunya check TSH selepas 6 minggu
T4 dan T3 nya berapa?

T4 dah turun ke 30 dah doc.T3 nnti i check balik,.tp doctor ckp mmg grave's disease..

oh alhamdulillah
OK lah; maksudnya TRAB awak positive lah
nanti pantau2 lah TSH, T4 dan T3
tinggi tak TRAB itu?
TRAB correlates with severity and the likelihood of Graves ni datang lagi
saya selalu beri Carbimazole mula2nya high dose
bergantung pada severity
if teruk saya start la eg 40mg BD (bis in die, 2kali sehari)
Lepas itu saya turunkan slowly
if TSH dan mula menampakkan diri, dan T4 mula turun, sy turunkan jadi 20mg BD
..then slowly to 10mg BD
lama2 jadi 5mg BD
then 5mg OD
then 5mg alternate days
selalunya lepas 18 bulan, saya beri dai ''drug holiday'' ie stop Carbimazole
dan pantau closely dgn TFT eg every 4mths
then TFT every 6 mths
ohh tu yg pelik kluar ????? tuh ha ha

oo.noted doc with thanks..patut la the specialist bgtau sy lama sikit sy kena follow up.dose carbimazole sama je doc ..tak kurangkan lagi . propranolol pun sama lagi dose .harap2 getting more better bila next appointment.11/1..
doctor ckp resting pulse nk stabilize amik masa..mmg ada lagi rasa mudah penat tp x seteruk dulu. |

bila dah sampai masa, doctor akan buat thyroid ultrasound lagi.sbb goiter masih maintain je mcm tu..tp lmbt lagi lah nk ultrasound .. doesnt matter doc..
most importantly dah tak ada oversweating, alhamdulillah tidur dah lena dan senang.D |

hi doc,lama tak update sini.sy busy sgt dari april -jun this year ulang alik hospital sbb ada detected illness lain plak ...
sy dah tukar specialist,dari ent ke endocrinologist.may lepas dah buat TSI test, confirmed ada grave's Disease.TSI level 9.63..tinggi kan doc...specialist pun agk la terkojut..tp under treatment dia tsh level sy dah naik 0.26, jun lepas.good improvement.doctor bgtau kena amik carbimazole smpai jun next year.
sebenarnya nk buat treatment radio iodine tp tsh level sy dah mula naik. jun next year doctor akan stop kejap carbimazole sebulan,lepas sbln klau kena balik hyperthyroid then baru buat radio iodine treatment.
doc,i nk tanya ada possiblity tak kena hypertension disebabkan grave's Disease?sbb
jun lepas doctor diagnosed i kena hypertension.dah on medication,micardis.kalau hyperthyroid dah ok,boleh hilang ke darah tinggi doc?
doctor ada bgtau maybe sbb parents ada darah tinggi ,jadi maybe sy kena sbb tu.sbbnya bmi normal,x obes.doctor pun mcm x caya sy ada darah tinggi.
dah la masa diagnosed hyperthyroid awal2 dulu t4 level paling tinggi 130.6, doctor pun terkejut. |
