Bianconeri to borrow Ballack?
Juventus are being linked with a sensational loan swoop for unsettled Chelsea star Michael Ballack when the transfer window reopens in January.
The German midfielder抯 time at Stamford Bridge seems to be running out after he was excluded from Jose Mourinho抯 squad for this season抯 Champions League.
Since arriving in London from Bayern Munich, Ballack has struggled to get to grips with English football and has been hampered by an ankle injury that held back his pre-season preparations.
As Mourinho has chosen not to gamble on Ballack making a swift recovery, the suggestion in the peninsula is that he will spend the second half of the campaign with the Bianconeri, who are lacking depth in midfield.
While such talk is little more than gossip at this stage, sources suggest that Ballack is set for crisis talks with his agent Michael Becker within the next few weeks.

Juve prepare Ivanovic swoop
Serbian defensive starlet Branislav Ivanovic is set for a January move to Juventus, according to Press reports.
The 23-year-old Lokomotiv Moscow ace came to the fore at the summer抯 European Under-21 Championships in Holland where he earned a place in UEFA抯 Team of the Tournament.
Juve are likely to look to strengthen their back line in the winter transfer window as their new-look defence has been far from convincing so far.
Ivanovic is rated so highly largely due to his ability with the ball at his feet, which is remarkable for a centre-back.
Rumours suggest that the Old Lady have agreed a fee of just under |

To make matters worse the angry ex-Roma man started an altercation with a cameraman, who allegedly taunted him as he left the pitch.
Zebina was led away by stewards as he attempted to land a blow on the man in question and has seen his suspension extended as a consequence.

[table=458][tr][td=3,1]Week 3 against udinese
When Udinese travel to Turin抯 Stadio Olimpico to face Juventus they will be hoping for a massive improvement on their opening performances. In contrast, the home side are one of only two sides to have earned maximum points at this early stage.
Juve have started their return to Serie A in fine form and have earned six points from their two matches, scoring an impressive eight goals in the process. Admittedly Livorno and Cagliari didn抰 seem to put up too much of a fight, particularly at the back, but those triumphs will have given Coach Claudio Ranieri and his newly assembled squad plenty of confidence ahead of this fixture. If they can continue to pose the attacking threat they have shown so far, the Udinese defence could find itself being overrun.
The big team news for the Turin-based Bianconeri is the four-match suspension that has been imposed on defender Jonathan Zebina for his red card against Cagliari and the resulting altercation with a television cameraman. That should see veteran Alessandro Birindelli take his place at right-back, while Jean-Alain Boumsong抯 absence due to the muscle strain he picked up in his left leg in the friendly against Real Zaragoza leaves Ranieri with little choice but to stick with his central defensive pairing of Domenico Criscito and Jorge Andrade. Similarly, Marco Marchionni抯 long-term injury means Mauro Camoranesi抯 place on the right-wing is secure.
Udinese boss Pasquale Marino will be rueing the misfortune that sees him without several key players for the tough trip to the Stadio Olimpico. Christian Obodo, Dias Felipe, Giampiero Pinzi and Raffaele De Martino are all injured and highly unlikely to play any role in the game, leaving Marino worryingly short of options, especially in midfield. The good news for Zebrette fans is that the end of Italy international Antonio Di Natale抯 contract dispute should see him return to the starting line-up in attack, with Antonio Floro Flores likely to make way.
The Friuli outfit will need to return to the mentality that saw them grind out a crucial point against Inter in Week 1 for this difficult fixture. Just as important will be blocking out the memory of the humiliating 5-0 thrashing they suffered at the hands of newly-promoted Napoli in their first home game of 2007-08. If they produce another performance of that ineptitude then Udinese could find themselves in real trouble against a Juve side that has hit the ground running.
Keep an eye on: David Trezeguet (Juventus) |

The Prince gets the space shirts
Remember the 28th of April, when two shirts signed by Nedved and Del Piero became the first football shirts in the world to go into outer space? Well, on their return to Earth, they were auctioned off to raise funds for the children of the Sant'Anna Hospital in Turin. At the last minute, after an intense auction, His Royal Highness, the Saudi Arabian Prince Turki Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, was the person who won them. The Prince, a Juventus supporter from way back, followed the sale on JuveStore.com very carefully, so as not to miss the chance to get his hands on his favourite players' 搒pace |

Juventus Crazy Over Crouch
Juventus have once again been linked with a move for Liverpool抯 unsettled striker Peter Crouch.
The giant target-man has stalled on signing a new contract at Anfield after losing favour with manager Rafael Benitez. The 6 ft 7in hitman is now the Spaniard抯 fifth choice forward behind new signings Fernando Torres, Ryan Babel and Andriy Voronin, plus Dutchman Dirk Kuyt.
The former Southampton man is said to be worried that his lack of playing time may be damaging his international career. Last week England manager opted to select re-born Wigan frontman Emile Heskey ahead of Crouch for the Euro 2008 qualifier against Russia.
The Sunday Express is now claiming that Juventus and Manchester City are both watching the situation with interest and may launch bids during the January transfer window.
The Bianconeri have long been linked with Crouch and coach Claudio Ranieri may see the forward抯 aerial ability as a useful weapon as Juve attempt to make an impact on their return to Serie A.
Crouch, who has a fantastic international scoring record with 12 goals in just 21 appearances, is believed to be valued at around |
