Agak setuju... Filem2 terakhir P.Ramlee (terutamanya Do Re Mi) cara lawak pon kasar... Sebut perkataan mcm anak haram, haram jadah dll.... Sebab tu antara siri Bujang Lapok dan Do Re Mi, aku lebih suka Siri Bujang Lapok...
Tapi cerita Ahmad Albab aku suka.. sebab masih ada unsur2 kekeluargaan dan pembalasan atas perbuatan jahat dan kebaikan. Cuma filem 6 Jahanam ja aku rasa aku tgk sekerat pastu mcm dh takmau tgk.... Sebab cerita tu mcm tergantung atau plot dia mcm x kena sikit.. tah la...
tapi dalam filem 6 Jahanam tu P. Ramlee ketengahkan warisan senjata melayu lama - Tekpi. |

Aku pun rasa cam tu juga, bab Ramli Kecik tu kalau tengok pada penampilan masa muda dulu kira boleh tahan jugak, tapi pelik juga dari studio jalan Ampas sampai ke Studio Merdeka dia hanya pelakon tambahan je tak de dialog, cuma filem nasib "do re mi" je ada scene dialog, kalau kata dia nak ambik kesempatan dah tentu boleh sebab dia rapat ngan P.Ramlee tapi itulah P.Ramlee. |

Bandar Seri Begawan - Esa Ahmad, an art director of films directed by legendary Malay film figure P Ramlee, has been enjoying the company of his relatives and close friends, while on holiday in Brunei.
Esa Ahmad arrived in the Sultanate last Friday and has since gone to Temburong and Limbang, where he visited her daughter and other relations.
Esa was accompanied by his in-laws and is scheduled to fly back to Kuala Lumpur this morning.
The 74-year-old Esa said he has long retired from the film industry ever since its decline following the death of P Ramlee.
"After the last film directed by P Ramlee in 1972, which was Laksamana Do Re Mi, I also ceased being a director. P Ramlee then passed away a year later and his death marked the decline of the Malay film industry.
"Altogether I was the art director for 129 films directed by P Ramlee, I was also involved in collaborative works with other directors such as Jins Shamsuddin and Jamil Sulong in 60 other films," he said.
He still remembers the film companies he used to work for prior to becoming an art director. Some of these companies included Sabah Film Production, Indera Film Production, Syed Kechik Production, Sariartis Production, Pengedar Utama Film, Pancha Film Production, Jins Shamsuddin Film Production and Mega Sari Film Production.
While under the employment of these film companies, he travelled to many locations worldwide such as Turkey, Dubai and Colombo.
His work on the film Ranjau Sepanjang Jalan, a movie based on a novel by literary novelist Sasterawan Negara Shahnon Ahmad, saw him net many awards.
"I was proclaimed as an art figure for my involvement in the Malay film industry," he said while apologising for being unable to recount when exactly he was awarded the honours.
He said the legendary P Ramlee attracted cinemagoers based on the strength of a story and film formulae that were considered to be on the same level and echelon with those produced in India, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Hollywood.
The multi-talented artiste was also considered a trendsetter whose creativity and prominence were incomparable.
His ability resulted in the creation of opportunities for other Malay directors in the 1940s and 1950s, such as Jamil Sulong, Omar Rojik and Kadarisman.
"He also created opportunities to work as an art director for other directors," he said.
He added that Malay films were not well-received during those times and that the arrival of P Ramlee on the scene could be considered a turning point.
"P Ramlee was not afraid to show the bad nature of people and this was best shown through his work on a film called Penarik Beca.
This film helped create within the minds of his fans a persona of mischief that resulted in cinema-goers attaching that stereotype to the nature of his on-screen characters.
"Suddenly P Ramlee would change completely what was expected, throwing audiences of their misconceptions and proving his versatility for braver story plots.
We can concur that P Ramlee was the most important creative asset of Malay cinema's golden age in the 1950s and 1960s.
He said that the icon's films embraced and synthesised almost all the facets of his creative spectrum, even allowing him to showcase his talents in story-telling, directing, acting, singing and composition.
"P Ramlee was simply irreplaceable. After his death, we must admit the Malay film industry began to experience a decline and I also proceeded to find a different career after his passing in 1973," he said.
Personally, Esa Ahmad found P Ramlee to be a very kind person who never had a lot of money in his pocket as he was always giving loans to his friends.
"I know that many of his friends did not bother to pay him back because he never asked for repayments.
Such was his kindness that we all knew he died a poor man," he said.
After his retirement, Esa Ahmad has never considered returning to the film industry, "But I shall be obliged to help any Bruneian who wants to be introduced to film makers in Malaysia.
I know some good scripts have been on hold for a long time due to a lack of financiers for the projects,' he added. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin

Documentari yang sungguh informatif. Aku pernah dengar PR waktu meninggal miskin tapi tak sangka yang susah betul hidupnya di akhir-akhir hayatnya. Kenapa dia dipulaukan begitu sekali n nak minta loan pun susah. Macam ada konspirasi je. |
