Hi fellow Naqiulicious,
Most likely I am the most senior amongst all of you. I don’t think my age group is into fan forums or maybe I just don’t know if there are any sleuthing and stalking in the cyberspace like I have been doing the past few weeks  .
I have to blame Naqiu entirely for making me a fan girl at this age. You see, so far in my life I have only liked very very few artists mainly for the voice and their songs but have not followed their developments like I am actively doing now with Naqiu. Even when I was a school girl or uni student or a young professional, I don’t remember fangirling anyone. Perhaps I was too busy with my life that I didn’t get the chance but I simply believe no artist came to my attention the way Naqiu did a few months ago.
So yes, I am a new fan. I never knew who Naqiu was. Until I chanced by his GV performance in one of those TV channel searches. I heard him sang Ambang Wati. The remote contol was frozen at Astro Ria from then on, and You Tube, Wikipedia, Google, fan forum searches began. Now I have an IG, started joining Naqiu’s Live stories and at the moment writing something on a fan forum. 
Why? Frankly I can’t identify any one reason. But the first was definitely the character of his voice and the way he delivers his story telling - the reason I froze the channel search at that GV show. I was enthralled since then. Came in Juwita, Rampas, Ting Ting, SriKandi, Suatu Masa, Mentera Semerah Padi and I am hooked.
After watching his past performances in YT, and followed GV the following weeks, his talent, personality and backstory intertwined into a package of a person I wanted to know more.
Personality - genuine. From his interviews and chats, I can sense that Naqiu is someone who keeps it real. He is just your next door neighbour and a loving, loyal and respectful family man. No airs whatsoever, one can say he doesn’t even realise how exceptional his talents are. And he seems very hungry yet humble to continue learning from his seniors. From his colleagues, he is said to be very hardworking and diligent too. He is also very comfortable with criticism and always looks at the bright side.
Backstory - inspirational. At a young age when a normal teenager would grapple with finding his identity, Naqiu was already exposed to the world of glitz and was idolised. In his late teens, he was facing yet another identity crisis in his musical direction. Instead of rebelling, he chose to take a break from the main stream quietly and pursued his musical study, not in a formal setting like a music school or academy, but in a harsh and demanding work of a night club setting where he had to sing 20 songs every night to the audience who may not necessarily go there just to hear him sing. Undoubtedly he gained tremendously technique wise, but what’s more important, I think his strong family values carried him well in those 12 years in the environment that can easily distract or tempt a young boy into negative influences. Instead he grew up into a confident and matured young man, wise and ready to face the upcoming challenges in his second chance at the main stream. He is supported by a very loving family, friends and fans. He is making new fans, friends and allies in the industry. And he keeps on learning new things.
He is all set to shine through brightly and I have resolved to follow and enjoy his development in this journey as I would my own children’s journey in their own respective career.
And also let’s not forget Naqiu is a good example for the young lads that with hard work and desire to continue learning coupled with respectful values, they can achieve success too.
So there, my dear Naqiulicious, my write up to reciprocate all my readings of your posts in the last few yestanas (I managed to read the last 3 I think).
