After undergoing the complementary tests and an NMR (Nuclear Magentic Resonance) of his right knee, it was confirmed that Cicinho, Real Madrid's Brazilian right fullback, has a torn anterior cruciate ligament. He will undergo surgery on Tuesday 26 September at 4 pm at the Ruber International Hospital in Madrid. Real Madrid's Medical Staff will perform the operation.

Cruyff slates Real Madrid

Barcelona great Johan Cruyff has labelled Liga rivals Real Madrid as a "mess". The Dutchman claimed that the elections at the club "have not served to resolve anything" and that the "chaos about to ensue is clear for all to see".

The former coach and player for Barca continued that "things are not working in sporting terms".

In an article published in magazine "La Vanguardia", Cruyff said he believed that the events of recent years "have saved nobody, not presidents, technical directors, coaches or players".

Cruyff - using the stability of Barcelona as comparison - thinks that the constant changes and exit of players, staff and officials merely heightens the chaos.

Despite things "not working in sporting terms", he feels that an element of consistency is needed and that Real's hire-and-fire policy has "complicated everything further".

Barcelona on the other hand have been stable since elections three years ago and have gone on to win consecutiv Liga titles and the Champions League whereas - since firing Vicente Del Bosque in 2003 despite being one of the most successful coaches in the club's history - Real Madrid have won nothing.

Ronaldo replaces Van Nistelrooy in Real squad for Tuesday :

MADRID, Sept 25 (Reuters) - Brazil striker Ronaldo has been called up to the Real Madrid squad to face Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League on Tuesday, after Ruud van Nistelrooy was given permission to pull out on Monday.
Spanish media reported the Dutch striker's wife was expecting a baby.

It is the first time Ronaldo has been included in a squad under new coach Fabio Capello since undergoing minor knee surgery on July 15.
The 30-year-old international has been training at the same level as the rest of the team but was not expected to reappear until Sunday's Primera Liga clash against city rivals Atletico Madrid at the earliest.
