IT'S FINISHED: FLAMENGO-MILAN 1-1

ALOR SETAR - Milan's Primavera team made their debut on the "Champions Youth Cup - Malaysia 2007" with a 1-1 draw against Flamengo. It was a balanced encounter, with the Brazilian team going ahead in the 11th minute of the second half through Nogueira while the Rossoneri's equaliser came in the 22nd minute thanks to a nice tap-in by Pierre Aubameyang.

MILANELLO - Here is the interview given by Yoann Gourcuff to Milan Channel:

The first question is on his condition: this morning Yoann Gourcuff suffered an injury to his calf:
"Yes, I felt pain in my foot. An X-Ray exam was done and nothing showed. It's been more than a week that I've had this pain, let's hope it goes away soon."

In today's press conference Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that Gourcuff will have a lot more playing time. Do you feel the faith of the club in you?
"Yes, during the summer I had a chance to talk to the management to get an idea of what they think about me. They have faith in me and I hope to do well. This year I can start with more confidence, I've known this club for a year now. I also feel better within the group, within the squad: it's easier for me. I hope I am well physically."

Among Gourcuff's objectives there is also the national team:
"I'm 21 now, it's time for me to play, to show myself and find space. I hope to play like last year, only more, and be able to play with the national team which is very important to me."

Compared to last season, what does Gourcuff need to improve in:
"I have to be more regular and consistent, last year I was not used to playing every three days. I have to find more consistency in my play, more serenity on a mental level. When I play I always want to do well but when I ask myself too many questions I lose myself. I have to play like I know how."

Meanwhile Gourcuff's Italian has certainly improved:
"Yes, I still have to take a few lessons to understand everything and speak even better."
