Cube Entertainment CEO Hong Seung Sung to release a book on hope
Cube Entertainment’s CEO, Hong Seung Sung, has revealed that he will be releasing an essay book containing messages of hope for the youth.
Titled “There Will Be No Spotlight If You Stop Now“, the book will share in-depth stories about the singers who are now in top positions in order to give insight into how they achieved their dreams. There’s no better man than CEO Hong for the job, as he’s raised countless of ‘fallen idols’ into top stars today.
Fans will be able to come away with life lessons from stars like HyunA, who had suffered from hateful rumors after her withdrawal from the Wonder Girls, Yoseob, who spent nights sleeping in the training room, and Junhyung, who held onto this new chance as if it was his last.
Fans will also be surprised to hear that 2AM had nearly debuted under the care of CEO Hong, which explains Jo Kwon’s words of strong affection for the CEO in later pages.
Encouraging lines like, “Remember that you can always earn as much as you love”, “Be strong in your foundation”, “Win with your passion if you are lacking skills”, and “Second chances will always come” can be found throughout the pages to give young teens the inspiration to foster their dreams.
The book will become available starting August 23rd.

B2ST cancels activities in Japan and returns to Korea due to visa problems
Cube Entertainment has just revealed to allkpop that B2ST was unable to enter Japan due to problems with their visas so their upcoming promotions were canceled and they’ve returned to Korea.
On the morning of August 16th, B2ST arrived at Japan’s Haneda Airport. However, they couldn’t pass through immigration and were put on standby for over eight hours. Afterwards, they cleared their planned schedules and boarded a plane back to Korea at eight o’clock.
Cube Entertainment said, “Universal Music (Japan’s label) is responsible for the distribution of B2ST’s music in Japan. We definitely corresponded with them about the schedule and visa matters. We were even informed in advance that there were no problems.”
Originally, B2ST was going to promote their first album ‘SO BEAST’, which was fully released in Japan on the 10th, before returning to Korea.
B2ST was also going to participate in a surprise event and attend the premiere of Hollywood blockbuster “Shanghai” since the movie was using their song “Fiction” as an promotional song.
Cube Entertainment said, “Pertaining to the standby situation at the airport, we are currently asking the Japanese label about the exact problem and trying to understand the details. From now on, we promise thorough preparation to prevent future problems in B2ST’s Japanese activities.”
Fanmade parody video of Bang Yong Guk’s “I Remember” MV grabs praise

Rumored to be produced by a B2ST fan, the parody video features cuts of member Yoseob taken from B2ST’s “Soom” and “Shock” MVs, which were then incorporated into the original music video.
Moments after being uploaded onto portal sites Naver, Daum, and YouTube, the video became a hot topic thanks to its seamless editing.
Netizens commented, “It looks so real”, “The person who edited this must be really talented”, “Seeing them side by side in a video like this truly makes their duet shine”, and “We want a live stage!”

As I was working at JYP, when I first saw Yoon Doojoon, these are some of the things that I thought about him. Of course as time went by, there were things that didn’t match up with my first impressions but his leadership did not disappoint me. Wouldn’t that be the reason that I chose him to be BEAST’s leader? Whenever Yoon Doojoon receives a task as a leader, he tries his hardest to take his role seriously and to follow through with the task as perfectly as possible. Just as any good leader would do, he doesn’t speak over his members but rather, speaks as a representative for the members. He has an innate ability to be able to organize his thoughts and communicate them when he gives recommendations, talks about ideas for the album and overall hopes for the group. When I hear the words “There is no one that leads and sacrifices himself for the benefit of his team as much as Yoon Doojoon” from people around me, I realize that at the very least, I have a special talent in being able to choose great leaders for groups.
