Dah lama tak jenguk thread nih.. Update sikit.. setelah berbulan, rasanya dalam 5 bulan diet kalori..aku telah mencapai target berat.. Tapi tu lah, manusia tak penah nak bersyukur.. target baru, 50 kg pulak.. Read the book, "Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution" (2002), and read it through to understand the principles of the diet and the long-term maintenance you'll follow after reaching your goal weight.( The newer Atkins book, "Atkins for Life", is for people who have reached their goal, and are on Maintenance. It is not a weight loss book. It is great, but save that for later. The more recent 2010 book "New Atkins for A New You" is not written by Dr. Atkins. Robert H. Eckel, MD, director of the general clinical research center at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, agrees. He tells WebMD, "Our worries over the Atkins diet go way past the question of whether it is effective for losing weight or even for keeping weight off. We worry that the diet promotes heart disease. ... We have concerns over whether this is a healthy diet for preventing heart disease, stroke, and cancer. There is also potential loss of bone, and the potential for people with liver and kidney problems to have trouble with the high amounts of protein in these diets."
The American Dietetic Association also has concerns about the Atkins diet. Gail Frank, PhD, former spokeswoman for the organization and professor of nutrition at California State University in Long Beach, says, "The body needs a minimum of carbohydrates for efficient and healthy functioning -- about 150 grams daily." Below that, normal metabolic activity is disrupted.
"The brain needs glucose to function efficiently, and it takes a long time to break down fat and protein to get to the brain," says Frank. Carbohydrates, especially in the form of vegetables, grains, and fruits, are more efficiently converted to glucose. And this more efficient use of glucose has developed over a long period of time, according to Frank. "Fruits and berries are much more indicative of early man's eating pattern than eating only protein, and we haven't changed all that much physiologically."

dzul...btl ke ape yang akak baca kt satu blog pasal atkins diet ni....
Telah lama saya menjadi silent reader di sini, saya kaji setiap satu diet rakan2 namun antara semua, diet Atkins adalah yang paling merbahaya sekali. Untuk short and long terms. Saya juga telah banyak membaca dan akhirnya membawa kepada penemuan sebuah web yang ditulis oleh seorang doktor dengan membuat rujukan dari lebih 1000 sumber termasuklah daripada jurnal jurnal dan buku buku perubatan.
Dr Atkins juga sebenarnya telah mengidap sakit jantung selama beberapa tahun sehingga tahun beliau meninggal dunia. Dia mendakwa sakit jantungnya tiada kena mengena dengan dietnya, namun semua orang tahu yang mana sakit jantung adalah berpunca dari gaya pemakanan yang tidak sihat.

sy ade jelas ritu rasenye dalam blog ...tp xpela , mungkin ade yg trlepas pandang..
menurut isteri dr atkins suami die dapat sakit jantung drpd infection virus yg die dapat tyme melawat 1 negara... Saya adelah pendiet atkins yg sangat lame menjalankan diet ini , kenape sy medical checkup sy ok ? knape sy boleh buat senaman skarang ni , tak duduk kat hospital? sebab sy tahu cara buat atkins sebenar dan saya buat satu2 mengikut peringkat..org yg nak kate diet atkins tak sihat tak pernah buat atkins atau tak pernah buat atkins sampai habis n mungkin tak pernah langsung baca buku dr atkins new diet revolution..dalam buku tu bukan je ade pasal diet , pasal vitamin dan pasal cara2 nak mengubati penyakit pun ade..
banyak algi sy boleh jelaskan, tp sy agak sibuk sekarang ni...senang cerita , terpulang kpd sesiapa yg nak diet tu , nak buat atau tidak diet atkins..kalau diet atkins merbahaya , sejak tahun 80an lag dah ramai yg mati sebab diet ni dr dulu dah wujud..cuma kat MAS ni baru lagi n then banyak pulak org belagak pandai nak hentam mende yg dorang tak tawu..
tapi biasenye haters tak cerite pulak dieters low calory yg berat badan naik lebuh teruk dr biase lepas berhenti buat diet low calory? sy tak suke hentam org lain , sebab tu sy tak cerite keburukan diet lain padahal banyak followers sy yg buat atkins pernah kurus dulu , lepas stop low calory , berat naik gila...=D
baby kan tak boleh makan cam org dewasa biasa..macam mne nak dapat nutrisi ? melalui susu ibu la..ibu tu sendiri perlu ada pelbagai nutrisi dalam badan..takkan nak sumbat multivitamin dalam mulut baby plak kan?
setakat ni tu yg aku dapat..nnti aku try tanye sal buah pinggang=)
