I absolutely agree with you on this.

Sometimes the tanslations are sooo ridiculous, these things should not be taken lightly as some people actually learn from the subtitles.I have never noticed anything stupid from the movies (well i tried to not look at it) but the tv shows subtitles are just too horrible to ignore.

Example:
I quit cold turkey : Saya berhenti ayam belanda (nip/tuck on Astro)
...the x-box...: Kotak X. (the script was clearly referring to the game console) i mean you wouldnt actually translate PlayStation to Stesen Bermain.

ada few more that i cant recall atm.

dvd sah sah la kan subtitle hancuss...one i can never forget

teringat lak mase temankan mak tgk cite hindustan klasik kat astro channel zee..

hindustan2 ni kan sker campur2 ckp hindi+english kan..
ade satu part ni,org ni ckp bahse hindi tapi die selitkan perkataan frame..cth nye

"I was framed" ....translation.... "Saye dibingkaikan"...

ye ye la saye nk pham ape org tu ckp.. ....
klau english leh la pham...ni bahase hindi...

kdg2 saye terpikir.... relevan lg ke subtitle kt muvie2 kte tu? buat lawak je la. dh d-underestimated..

sbb saye rase rata2 org kte bleh je paham kalo xde subtitle.... or am i just generalizing things?
