Asalnya, zaman unta, kuda & keldai dulu, waktu tengahari amat memeritkan (aku ni baru je balik berjemur jap tadi). Musim panas, suh min 32 C, max 44 C... . Jadi dierg mengurangkan aktiviti (berjalan/ meniaga / kerja) waktu nih. Dah la x semua tempat ade wadi / ain (mata air). Sbb tu lah diorg tutup kedai / gomen x kije tghari.
Amalan ni pulak bertepatan ngan ajaran Islam, sunat berehat waktu tengahari; tidur sebelum Zuhur yakni. Omputeh kate, dengan izin; short nap
Lagi satu, ketika musim panas, Subuh masuk kol 4.00 pagi, cerah tanah kol 5.00 pagi hehe. Maknanya kol 11 pagi (ketika tergelincirnya matahari) dah panas giler.
Maka di sini, Dewan Parlimen meluluskan Rang Undang2 "Summer Ban" ketika bulan Julan & Ogos, berkuatkuasa 2008. Semua kerja2 yang terdedah kpd elemen luar (cahaya matahari / haba) mestilah dihentikan pada pukul 12 tgh ke 4.00 petang. Pemungkiran larangan ini (dilihat masih berjemur tengah2 panas + pakai helmet + pegang tukul misalnya) akan didende ~ RM 1,000 (kuli / penyelia / tokey).
Walopon skang kenderaan berhawa dingin dah menggantikan hewan tunggangan, amalan lama masih berterusan. Masih banyak gedung2 perniagaan / gerai2 yang akan tutup waktu tengahari.
Sektor kerajaan cuma bekerja dari pukul 7.00 pagi hingga 2.00 petang. 7 jam kerja, 1 jam rehat tu gi buat kat umah hehe.

A BANGLADESHI man accused of masterminding a gang that abducted two women was yesterday jailed for 15 years.
The 25-year-old was convicted, at the High Criminal Court, of raping an Indonesian woman who he kidnapped along with her Sri Lankan friend.
His three Bahraini co-defendants, aged 31, 28 and 23, were also each jailed for 15 years for kidnapping the women, who were in their 20s, and holding them hostage for 20 days.
Two other Bangladeshis, aged 28 and 26, were also jailed for 10 years each for kidnap and theft and ordered them to be deported after completing their sentences.
The rape victim was at her Sri Lankan friend's apartment in Manama when two of the men broke in at 4am and stole her gold jewellery and BD300, hidden in a drawer in the bedroom.
They then forced the woman out of the apartment and assaulted her, in August last year.
The Bangladeshi mastermind was waiting for them outside the apartment building, where he threatened the two women at knifepoint and forced them into the car of the 23-year-old Bahraini.
The defendants drove the women to an apartment in Jidhafs, which belongs to one of the defendants, where the ringleader raped the Indonesian three times.
He threatened her at knifepoint every time, saying he would kill her and cut her into pieces if she didn't strip.
The men held the women hostage in the apartment for 15 days before taking them to another apartment in Hidd, where they were held for another five days. Police believe the gang kidnapped other women and forced them to work as prostitutes, according to court documents.
The victims were only saved from their 20-day ordeal after police received information about a gang, who were allegedly kidnapping women and forcing them to work as prostitutes.
Officers saved the women after a former victim came forward with information about the men's whereabouts.
The mastermind confessed to the charges, during police questioning, and claimed the gang planned to sell the Indonesian after "finishing with her".
The three Bangladeshis are already serving a 15-year sentence for carjacking an Indian driver at knifepoint, dumping him in the desert and then raiding his home.
They were among five men who reportedly shredded his shirt and used it to bind his arms and gag him during the terrifying ride into the desert.
After dumping the man, in his 30s, they drove his car back to Manama and burgled his apartment, stealing his television, DVD player, two laptop computers, a gold chain and other belongings
