Hi!!!

I can vividly remember how bad my presentation skill back in my secondary school as well as my uni day. Especially when we had to do d-presentation in english. As for me, I always stumble here n there, infact, I almost sidetrack n sometimes d-mmm, aaaa n 1-2 mnutes of silent-moment were n still inevitably become a nitemare.

But hey, at least we try our best rite?...huhuhu. Normally, when I finished doing my presentations, I'd say to myself that I could've done better n I should have mentioned this n that, u know, this kinda thing suddenly come up to my head n I was like, urrghhhh, why all of these thing didn't come up during d-presentation. It's normal, I guess.

i'm not sure how to explain that to you -

the suitable preposition in that sentence is 'in'
that's how we write if there's a footprints in the sand

can't be ON the sand -  perhaps cuz it's blended in the sand -

maybe others can give clearer answer -

How to say "Cantik ker?" in English?

Could it be either:
1) Isn't she beautiful?
2) Wasn't she beautiful, was she?
3) Is she beautiful?

number 3 is the safe bet..
or if it is in the past tense: was she beautiful?

number 2 - should be -- she was beautiful, wasn't she?
or you just write:  wasn't she beautiful?  (omit the 'was she')
however it is not suitable for 'cantik ker'?

i'm in process to improve my english now

my biggest problem is i can't speak spontenous although its only a simple words.now,i just finished my study and seeking for the job now.last week someone from the company called me and ask me a few question.i felt dissappointed bcoz cannot speak well.its only a simple question and i felt that my answer cannot convinced her bcoz its hard to me to talk in english.i need to think first in malay and then translate it again in english.how should i overcome this problem??

lot's of people have a problem in conversing instead of writing in english...
and it's normal -

you have to keep practicing and do not give up to talk in the language
regardless grammatical error and whatnot -

that's the only way to boost your confidence -

your writing is fine.. few errors here and there aren't crucial though -

when you wanted a translation for 'cantik ker'  it meant that
you didnt see the person  -  the person was not there -
and you were wondering about her appearance -
so you asked your friend about her -

but  -
the word - wasn't she beautiful -
you were talking to your friend regarding a person -
and both of you tried to recall one woman --- and you remembered
how beautiful she was -

so - that phrase - meant - you agreed that she's a great looking person
and you weren't questioning whether the person was beautiful or not - rather
it meant your did praise the person (as i mentioned already) -

but for the 'cantik ker' -- you have no idea and wondering about it -

that's why #2 isn't the correct phrase to translate the word 'cantik ker' -

but actually i think i'm just mediocre
and still learning to improve my english -

i am pure malay -
perhaps my english is slightly better...
because i lived in oversea for quite sometimes -
(where english was the only language i conversed)
and where i work at the moment - i must speak english
because i'm dealing with foreigners day in and day out -

Got 1 Q 2day,

I wanna tell my frends that I haven't bought any new fragrance. My last purchase was like 2 years ago. So, wut's d-best way to put this into a sentence? Below is d-possible sentences which I'm not sure which one is correct or which one is hold d-meaning.

1) it's been quite a while since I bought my last fragrance

2) it's been quite a while since I've purchase this new fragrance

3) it's been quite a while since the last time I bought a new fragrance

4) it's been quite a while I haven't bought new fragrance
