Radzinski released as Fulham exodus continues

Striker Tomasz Radzinski has been released by Fulham manager Lawrie Sanchez as the former Northern Ireland boss begins his summer restructuring at Craven Cottage.

The Canada international, 33, joined the Cottagers from Everton in 2004 and made over 100 appearances.

Radzinski was signed as a forward but has also played in midfield during his time with the club.

He joins Claus Jensen in being released by Sanchez and, like the Danish midfielder, Radzinski rejected an extended deal at Craven Cottage earlier in the season.

He scored three goals this season, with league strikes against Arsenal and West Ham and another in the 3-0 FA Cup win over Stoke.

Jensen left the club last week after claiming he had no future under Sanchez's 'long-ball' tactics.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Mark Crossley, who spent part of the season on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, and Welsh midfielder Mark Pembridge have also been released after failing to gain new contracts.

Wayne Routledge, Jan Lastuvka and Vincenzo Montella, who were on loan at Craven Cottage this season, have all been returned to their parent clubs.

Welcome back to the football management Robbo!!

Robson confirmed as Blades bossSheffield United have confirmed Bryan Robson has signed a three-year deal to take charge at Bramall Lane, with Brian Kidd as his assistant.

The former Middlesbrough, West Brom and Bradford boss replaces Neil Warnock, who resigned last week after seven and half years in charge. Blades coach Kidd has been promoted to Robson's assistant manager.

Warnock quit after United were relegated from the Premiership on the final day of the season with a home defeat to Wigan, ending their stay in the top flight after just one campaign.

Robson, who has been out of work since leaving West Brom in September 2006, has experience of winning promotion having guided Middlesbrough to the top flight in 1995 and, after a relegation, 1998.

He successfully kept the Baggies in the Premiership in 2005 but they were relegated last year and Robson left the club after a disappointing start to the next campaign.

Sheffield United plc chairman Kevin McCabe said Robson was the man to lead the Blades back into the Premiership.
"Bryan is an experienced manager but also as we all know was a fantastic player, and we believe he is the manager who will blend the squad and improve Sheffield United and lead us back to where we rightfully belong, in the Premiership, in a short space of time," he said.

"He will have the support of the board to fulfil that ambition. We aim to be in the top 10 in the Premiership at least within the next three to five years."

Robson was thrilled to take over a squad who will start next season as one of the favourites to win the Championship, and he insists he will not need to do much to get them back in the top flight.

"I'm delighted to come back with such an ambitious squad," he told Sky Sports News.
"It's a great challenge, we have some good players and with just a bit of fine-tuning they have a great chance of getting back up, but it will take a lot of hard work.

"I would like to keep all the best players and give them the challenge of getting back up, but also build the club so if we go up we have a better chance of surviving."
Robson admitted he faces a challenge in inspiring the side after their heartbreaking final-day relegation, but insists it would be crucial to do so.
"It's a case of everybody lifting themselves. You can't go about feeling sorry for yourselves, you've got to get on with your next season.

"We need support and hopefully they (the fans) can pick themselves up and give us that backing for next season.
"At this football club we already have some good players, the budget is pretty good and it gives us a great chance."
While Robson would not be drawn on the row over Carlos Tevez's participation in West Ham's successful survival bid, McCabe reiterated the club's position.

He confirmed the Blades were expecting a response from the Premier League over the issue and told Sky Sports: "We are pursuing the Premier League as a current member still, as the AGM has not happened yet.
"We expect the Premier League board to listen and acknowledge that Sheffield United have been wronged."

Keane signs new deal at Spurs

KEANE ... committed to Spurs

ROBBIE KEANE has signed a new five-year contract with Tottenham.

The Republic of Ireland forward scored 22 goals last season, bringing his total in a Spurs shirt to 84 since joining from Leeds in August 2002.

Keane, 26, made his 200th appearance for Spurs in the final game of the season against Manchester City at White Hart Lane.

He said: 揑 have felt really settled and happy at Spurs and that is probably one of the reasons I have played the best football of my career here.

揑t is an exciting time to be at the club and I am looking forward to even better seasons ahead.

ye ramai player2 bagus tapi aku rasa kalau still guna player2 yg same cam season nih..susah gak nak stay kat epl tu . yelah memandangkan trend2 kelab2 epl skrang nih lebih pentingkan foreign player..gila sangat nak kejar cup cepat2..patut la england down kat international, ngan albania pun sangkut gak nak menang
