i just baru masuk rumah, so mmg tgh plan camna nak devide between my living and dining, but then i prefer to make it using things that are mobile, so i can move things around when required (biasa la for any event - open house ect).  I have few ideas, but i am not so sure whether it's gonna work.  Is it ok for me to pm u?

u boleh PM saye, atau u boleh tell me kat sini, bolehlah sharing dgn members lain yg ade idea atau planning yg same.
this is a good topic oso...bagi partition yg mobile, option hanye bolehlah low partition
utk ni, saye suggest 1 idea, cuba letak satu low planter box yg segi empat, size agaknye 8" depth X 1' 6" height X 3' width
lepas tu bahagian bawah boleh letak roller yg tersembunyi kat bawah, dalam planter box boleh letak tanah sikit dan tumbuhan yg palsu....
saye boleh bagi idea ni, yg the rest atau details biarlah designer u buat, takkan i tolong dia fikir semua detailing...:@

thanks kenn, for helping me out, anyway, FYI, i don't have any designer, just that i have few ideas of my own by browsing through various magazines. but since my house is not that BIG and i believe it isn't that small neither, but  if we left some space empty, it may looks like that area not fully utilise.  so i fikir instead of having big living hall which i rasa i takkan use as living space most of the time, so i've been thinking of making part of it as cozy relaxing area for family (or even guests - usually the younger genarations like to seat aside from the elders).

yeah i thought of that as well, i fikir i nak beli L shape sofa, and i prefer the L shape part that is not fixed.  i ader jumpe kat satu kedai sofa L-shape dier not fixed.  u rasa ok tak kalo i amik that L shape portion tu as my partition, or if i just beli daybed.  which is better?

Hi Kenn,
Rumah I terrace double storey, corner lot . Dah 2 tahun duduk tapi baru nak start renovate next month. I plan nak extend buat kitchen & add 1 additional room and change current kitchen position from facing wall to facing vacant land. Actually tak plan nak renovate dis soon tapi bila tengok u punya design terus teruja la pulak. Bole kita set appointment kot..

Teruja sangat tengok design yg kenn paste kat sini. Tu pasallah terus register ni.. Camna nak post kan floor plan kat kenn,ya? Lagi 2,3 bln nak msk rmh baru ni, semi-d sgle storey. Ingat nak minta tlg kenn beri idea kat mana nak tmbh bilik & kitchen coz bilik skrg cuma 3 (anak ramaiiii), kitchen area nak convert to dining. Kenn bole tolong???

i suggest L shape sofa kalau nak nampak kemas, tapi saye suggest day bed kalau nak nampak 'informal' /modern sikit.
harga day bed lebih murah daripada L shape sofa.....jadi kebaikan dan keburukan u boleh consider, tengok mane sesuai utk keluarga anda..

mayyonnizz, not bad, boleh buat 3D walaupun bukan designer...hehe.
dari 3D tu, saye rasa dinding utk tingkap/slidding door tu baik jgn guna cat warna merah juga, saye suggest guna warna putih, sebab kalau dinding ni guna warna merah akan jadikan ruang ni nampak kecil sikit.
Partition saye suggest jgn guna design ni, dan jangan terlalu lebar....lebarnye agak 3 kaki dah cukup utk satu partition.
dan satu lagi, saye suggest jgn letak terlalu banyak carpet, sebab ini akan menjadikan ruang tu nampaknye warna terlalu gelap, akan nampak tak begitu luas....

erm... actually my background is designer also..but not interior.. i'm doing architecture... so dah kerja architecture kena lah pandai buat 3d jugak... hehehehhehehe... nak impress client kan

1-  yg u kata sliding door tu bukan sliding door... itu..window..tp panjang ke bawah..org panggil bay window kalau tak silap... betul jugak kata u.. tak perlu cat di situ...nampak gelap sgt...

2- a agreed bout the divider too

3. carpet - huhuhu... actually dah terlalu asyik buat 3d.. sampai semua tempat i nak render dg n carpet huhuhu


*1 question pls.. tempat sofa merah i tuh.. i buat white as background... u think  its better for me to paint it  white OR.. paint the whole wall with red & put a roman blind (white color) at the back of the sofa??...

welcome for that comment, yg penting dpt membantu dan bagi idea....hehe.

saye rasa baik cat semua merah, dan letaklah curtain roman blind kat sana, sebab kalau tengah tengah tu warna putih, tak ade siape siape boleh guarantee dpt buat garisan between merah dan putih tu 100% lurus, dan 100% tak keluar garis.
kalau senget dan keluar garis nampak tak cantiklah...
kalau ade ape ape lagi bolehlah kita share kat sini ye....:ah:

oh....sketchup memang boleh build wall dan roof semua memang cepat, tapi saye tak guna sketch up, dulu kat college & university ade gunalah.
ya, specialise in interior, architecture, dan construction as well.

I baru je dapat offer rumah RM280K di Sec13 Shah Alam...n still under consideration coz nampak macam kecik...20 X 75...actually price kat sana supposedly RM350k n above tapi owner tu desperate nak jual...

Bila tengok you punya design ni...memang terasa macam worth it je beli coz banyak factor yg bleh buat rumah tu nmpak besar....

But, I really dont know renovation costs if I would like to spaceup living are another about 5 feet and pecahkan bilik bwah convert to dapur...

Then, u takde ke design yg tak pakai wood floor...sebab I rasa kalau I nak letak wood flooring...cost dia mahal sikit laaaa.....errrr...mahal banyak kot...

agak2 kalau kita set appointment boleh tak??

if roughly I know the reno cost I would like to makeup the SMP price....hihihi...nak extra money la for reno...
