.. ha ah la ceph ... nakpikerja kat brussel .. terus singgah paris bawak tok laki n anak ...
entah lah beb ... kalau kena beratur ratur ni .. akak malas laa .... kalau boleh masuk macam tu jer mungkin la nak nyopping sikit .. huhu
now dah belah bagi .. nak stay kat hotel dekat dengan eiffel tower atau hotel yg dekat tengah pekan paris .... huhu

jujurin, saya pun kurang faham apa pentingnye duduk walking distance dr Eiffel Tower namun saya refrain from commenting sbb lain org lain love affairnyer maybe you want to wake up to the view maybe. If you ask me, area Champs de Aleysee (ejaan belasah ja ni...) is the place if I'm spending RM1,000 a night (it may not be the ritz, but it certainly is enough for a decent room in the location)
On the Paris metro, it can be both a delight and a nightmare. If you are reasonably good with orientation, it should be very simple actually. Print metro map bnyk2 and that is the only weapon you need. Know the station you're heading to, interchange stations, and which direction (this is probably the only 'tough' part since the line/direction only mentions the last station - but it's all there on the map. (contoh kalau nak naik komuter ke Bangi, line tu akan tulis Seremban sebegitu...) There will be quite a bit of walking and climbing stairs. Can be fun for mobile people but I understand you have some small constraint you may wish to consider.
Paris metro uses trains of different models daripada yang antik bukak pintu pulas handle hinggalah yang guna rubber tyres on line with platform doors area yang kak lid nak duduk tu.
I suggest you try it first - tak cuba tak tau kan...

Assalam,
Just returned from Paris pagi tadi:- 1) Cerita buruk pasal Paris - pickpocket, scam, tipu helah gipsi, tipu helah negro, etc, etc,etc spt dilaporkan di sini tidak berlaku samasekali pada aku atau pelancong di sekeliling aku. They are nowhwere to be seen.
exactly how I felt after 2 trips in Sept & Oct last year.
Then in January, I was hit.

No need to print metro map kalau plan nak beli day ticket. Bila beli day ticket - a pamplete of metro/RER map and all the attractions is provided.

Why nak beli cooker kalau duduk apartment? Hot plate dan cooking utensile, periuk belanga disediakan. Yg ptg bawak tanah utk samak. I aritu masa nasik dlm periuk biasa jer.

Boleh tahan rega ticket hop on hop off nie. Paris metro/RER unlimited ride utk zone1-2 hanya 6.80E sahaja sehari.

that's what I meant....
you need a few copies of the map nak conteng2... kekadang satu tak cukup in case hujan boleh buat tutup kepala... 
On the day ticket, based on my travel style, metro + menapak (wajib kalau nak enjoy the sound and smell of Paris) I akan rugi. Typically I would only take 3 or 4 rides a day. I lagi prefer carnet yg bundle 10 tickets discounted with no expiry tu.

I ambik day ticket sebab malas nak pikir. Maklumlah berjln dgn anak umur 3 tahun - nak kawal dia lagi. I kira balik rugi dlm 2-3E sahaja utk sehari. Map hancur normal la...

satu soklan agak bodoh: boleh pakai ek periuk nasi kita? maksud akak kita kena guna adapter tak? takut meletop pulak nanti kat sana .. hehe
.... dan tu la .... kemungkinan besar naik cab la ... dan doa doa lah tak kena tipu ... kami ber3 je .. sedang molek lah ...
