voice memang hady la.. but jon nyer presence more outstandin..ya someting like the x-factor tingy.. last year taufik memang better in all sense.. sly tu is a joke..

...pada aku ek...seriously....hady is a better singer...semua lagu dia bley bawak ngan baik...jon plak...certain lagu yang dia bawak jer baru nampak terserlah...

...but...what he got that hady is lacking is the stage presence...bila dia kat stage...orang semua bley terpaku sebab...not only is he good looking...tapi...dia pey smile aku pon cair siot!!..huhuhu...

Yup setuju ngan Kak Tam.....Jon's definitely got mass appeal, but Hady's vocals is definitely superior....Hady! Hady! Hady!

Last 2 contestants of Singapore Idol battle it out for title

SINGAPORE: After weeks of anticipation and vocal sparring, the Singapore Idol competition is finally in its home stretch with the winner to be announced on Monday.
The last 2 contenders fought it out in a high-energy final show down at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Having beaten the other 10 finalists, the 2 Singapore Idol contestants had to out perform each other en route to the Idol crown.

They were watched by a packed stadium and President S R Nathan.

23-year-old Jonathan Leong, started with Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars".

While his opponent, 26-year-old Hady Mirza opened with "Freedom" by George Michael.

Season Two of Singapore Idol started with auditions for over 3,600 registrants in February, each hoping to replicate Season One winner Taufik Batisah's path to stardom.

Hady and Jonathan will find out who is the new Singapore Idol during the results show which will be beamed LIVE on MediaCorp Channel 5 at 8.00 pm on Monday. - CNA /dt

THEY came, they sang, now all they can do is wait.

Hady Mirza, 26, and Jonathan Leong, 24, who are vying for the Singapore Idol crown this year, duelled it out last night at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

About 8,000 people, including guest of honour President S R Nathan and his wife, saw them sing at the final performance.

The results will be announced tonight. The one-and-a-half hour show will be telecast live on Channel 5 at 8pm.

Phone lines opened for fans to cast their votes at 9.30pm last night, and will close during tonight's results show.

Supporters of both Idol wannabes turned up in droves last night, with some sporting their Idol's name painted in silver ink on their cheeks.

This year's showdown is again an all-male affair after Taufik Batisah, 25, beat Sylvester Lim, 23, in the debut run in 2004.

Last night, Hady and Leong sang three songs each, one of which was an original song. Called You Give Me Wings, the song will also be the first single that will be recorded and released by the eventual winner.

Leong's rendition of the song earned him praise from judge Dick Lee, who said: 'I can see you could easily be a regional star.'

Not to be outdone, Hady's performance of the same song had judge Florence Lian gushing that it gave her 'goosebumps'.

Leong also sang Irish band Snow Patrol's Chasing Cars and Should I Stay, by local group Dreamz FM.

Hady sang Freedom by George Michael and Chaka Khan's Through The Fire.

Leong and Hady were among more than 2,000 hopefuls who turned up at auditions in February this year.

The winner will bag a contract with an as yet undisclosed major music label here.

So will it be? 'It's a tough competition,' said engineer Sharul Tengku, 25, who was at the indoor stadium. They're on equal footing.'

Baru dapat email from a fren. Dia kata dah tak yah nak susah payah vote for Hady. Apparently public votes for Jon is way higher. Dah tak leh catch up....boleh percaya ke tak eh?
