Saya bawa 1,200E untuk keperluan 9 hari di Turkey dan 6 hari di Greece. Masih ada beberatus euro balance.

1200E ni, tidak termasuk pakej Turkey yang prepaid ke TA untuk hotel, food, entrance fees, Bosporus cruise, hot air-baloon, guide, ferry & land transport. Di Greece 1 dari 2 hotel sudah prepaid. Transport (Athens), sewa kereta (Santorini) sendiri biaya. Di Greece makan roti/nasi dengan serunding, telur serta Maggi mee.

Bawa periuk nasi kecil untuk masak nasi. Bawa juga Maggi, instant soup dan serunding. This will save you a lot on food. Di Turkey makanan halal memang no problem, tapi mahal oooo. Mineral water botol besar 1TL.

Kuar duit guna Maybank ATM card yang bukan debit card tak boleh. Yang debit card no problem, tapi I guess you must have balance to cover amount withdrawn. Ada service chg - tak ingat.

UPDATE : Service charge RM 12 utk w/d 300TL

Bila nak tukar euro ke lira nanti, try cari money changer yang tak charge commission. Money changers dalam airport after immigration as you walk down the slope to your left and right (towards baggage caruosel), mereka charge 4% commission. Not sure yang kat luar charge ke tidak. If the money changers don't charge, usually mereka ada big sign board "No Commission".

Di tram stop Sultanahmet, banyak money changers tak charge commission and gives much better rate. Di Grand Bazar juga banyak money changers tapi tak perasan mereka charge commission ke tidak.

Other towns, Ankara, Pamukkale & Capadocia, susah nak cari money changers, so change in Istanbul.

Nak tanya lg la soalan.
Nanti kitaorg touchdown kat Ist airport at 6.30am kan via MAS, pahtu connecting flight ke Keyseri is at 1pm via Turkish Airlines.
So adakah (1) I boleh check my luggage to final destinantion from KLIA?

(2) While waiting for my connecting flight, how do I go to the lounge? Sbb lounge tu dkt international departure. Help?

Ya ampun ..... sy bukan staff MAS atau airport staff, tak dapek nak nolong. Sy juga naik MAS, tour start dari Istanbul.

My experience ..... from Istanbul ke Santorini. Aegean airlines transit & tukar plane (not airline) di Athens. Bag memang automatically transferred. Tapi kami kena kuar airport Athens, i.e. ....... normal arrival immigation formalities ..... lepas tu masuk balik ke domestic. Sip baik international & domestic satu bangunan & Athens airport tak besar.

Ataturk airport is BIGGGGG & very BUZYYYY even for international saja. Domestic klau tak silap, is adjecent building. How buzy is Ataturk ? Macam lembu lepas kandang !

What we brought along:
1. Mini periuk nasi. Bleh masak 2 pot, cukup untuk 2 orang.
2. Heating coil untuk masak air.
3. Multi charger. Voltage Tukri sama dgn Mesia. Plug 2 pin, bawa adapter.

4. Piring plastik.
5. Sudu plastik.
6. Garpu plastik.
7. Pisau (masuk checked baggage).
8. Kole utk masak air.

9. Maggi mee. Packet & cup.
10. Serunding.
11. Instant soup.
12. Packet sos tomato & cili.
13. Beras packet kecil.
14. Cellotape utk seal packet yg terbuka.

Yang terlupa bawa.
15. Rubber band. Getah utk ikat packet yg terbuka.
16. Sealable sandwich bag. Simpan sakibaki yg tak abis.
17. Sponge utk basuh piring, dll.
18. Serbok sabun utk cuci piring, sudu, dll.
19. Container utk sponge & sabun.
20. Plastic container utk isi roti, jam, dll yg kita tapau during hotel breakfast.

Yang beli di sana.
21. Non-stick pan. Murah, 8.50E aje. We cook bila stay di apartment.
22. Telur. Goreng guna butter yg kita dapat dari hotel during breakfast.
