10 actors Who Had Made Flop Debut, But Become Popular Superstar
To be successful with hard work, luck is also very important. Like in real life, Bollywood is also a place where hard work and luck is equally important. We have a life of many superstars who somehow, luckily, managed to make it big, despite a horrifying debut.

1. Salman Khan
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who is now known for his blockbuster films and his none film grosses less then 100 millions started his filmy career with a flop film. He made his acting debut with a 1988 film ‘Biwi Ho To Aisi’ which was flop on box office but Salman managed to came with a blockbuster film ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ and become superstar. From ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ to ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ is he the star of Bollywood.
2. Katrina Kaif
British film actress and model, Katrina Kaif started her Bollywood career with 2003 film ‘Boom’ and the film was was a commercial and critical failure. After her first failure file she featured alongside Salman Khan, in ‘Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?’ and from this film her career came on track. She done films like Raajneeti, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and become paid Haist actress of Bollywood.
3. Ranbir Kapoor
Ranbir made his acting debut with 2007 film ‘Saawariya’ but at the box office the film failed to earn profits. Then Ranbir seen in Bachna Ae Haseeno, Wake Up Sid, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, Raajneeti, Barfi and many other films managed to become superstar.
4. Sonam Kapoor
Today’s fashion icon Sonam Kapoor, also started her filmy career with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Saawariya’ opposite Ranbir Kapoor but film to be a major critical and commercial failure. Despite starting from a flop film, Sonam managed to become one of the highest-paid actresses in the industry. Her role in Raanjhanaa and Neerja become favorite of viewers.
5. Shraddha Kapoor
Shraddha began her acting career with a 2010 heist film ‘Teen Patti’ the film received negative reviews. After her debut, she seen in ‘Luv Ka The End’ but failed to make a mark. She gained wide public recognition for highly successful romantic drama ‘Aashiqui 2′. Since then, this petite girl has delivered brilliant performances and become favorite of viewers.
6. Aditya Roy Kapur
Aditya’s three back- to-back movies London Dreams, Action Replayy and Guzaarish was flopped on box office. He rose to prominence from 2013 film Aashiqui 2. In the filn ‘Fitoor‘ he had praise for his acting skills.
7. Kareena Kapoor Khan
At the age of 19, Kareena made her acting debut from film ‘Refugee’ but the films was not did so well on box office. However she become favorite of audiences from her films Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Omkara, Bodyguard, Jab We Met, Heroine etc.
8. Emraan Hashmi
Hashmi made his acting debut in 2003 from ‘Footpath’ but the film was flopped on Box Office. Luckily, 2004 had Murder in store for him post which his Bollywood dreams took off and till now he managed to won the heart of audience.
9. Akshay Kumar
Akshay made his first appearance as the lead actor in 1991 from film ‘Saugandh’ and ‘Dancer’ which received poor reviews.But Akshay managed to become superstar of Bollywood. He gained fame for his drama, romance, action and comic roles. His 2016 released ‘Airlift’ is the first heightest grossing film of the year. Today, Akshay is one of the most-sought after and highly paid actors of the industry.
10. Madhuri Dixit
Dixit made her film debut in Abodh (1984) but received wider public recognition with 1988 film ‘Tezaab’. She went on to establish herself as a leading actress of Hindi cinema with the films ‘Ram Lakhan’, ‘Dil’, ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’, ‘Pukar’, ‘Devdas’ etc. Madhuri has been praised by critics for her acting and dancing skills.
