Wohooooo...thanks Cupcakes!!! That's so similar, the only thing I might change is to replace the chocolate mousse to white chocolate mousse. I definitely will make this cake this weekend. Again, thank you so much! |

Hari ni Hiro baru selesai buat Banana Cake, honestly, ni lah cake yang paling 'cerewet' sekali Hiro pernah buat. You can ask me bake Cheesecake hari-hari, but not this cake. I got frustrated, but tak putus asa. What happened, recipe dalam ni guna metric punya sukatan, and Hiro kena convert into 'standard'. Hiro guna internet converter jek. Tapi yang paling pening bila buat 'mousse'. Ntah apa silapnya tak jadi, but I letak dalam peti ais one night. Today, I keluarkan, whipped high speed and tambah cool whip and walllaaa...jadi jugak, tapi bukan mousse ler, jadi apa pun tak tau, tapi rasa still very good.
Ganache (coklat cair) turned out very nice...glossy and smooth. Now ni dok dalam peti ais, tunggu set dulu. Karang Hiro pi snap gambar. Whatever it is, nampaknya setahun sekali je Hiro buat kek ni....so complicated (for me lah)

Adoi....penat dia masih terasa lagi nih...macam kena torture buat kek nih...
Tapi agaknya for the first time je, after ni mungkin easier kot for me, apa2 pun I nak try praktis buat mousse. I found other easier mousse recipe, senang sesangat compare dengan the blog you bagi tu. Tak payah guna gelatin, cuma heavy cream, egg yolks, granulated sugar, vanilla extract and chocolate. Cara buat pun senang. |

Here you go. I tak ambik gambar full cake sebab dah ngap dulu before set. So look so comot. But here a slice. The only thing I have to improve is to get easier mousse recipe. And then much better. But the taste...I tell you, deliciously amazing. I nak rush pi airport antar my friend, balik karang I paste the modified and sooo much easier recipe, so everyone can enjoy this deliciously cake without have to spend hours in the kitchen. Isn't that what the cooking and baking means for women? Easy, faster and great result? To tell the truth, I suka modified recipe
By the way, I guna white chocolate as the mousse. You can change it to regular chocolate.

Cupcakes, ni dia...Hiro tak pernah try lagi, meh semua kita cuba! Give feedback okay. Resipi ni originally dalam bahasa Indonesia, as stated its new technique, tapi I found out the recipe already invented in year 2005. Loveliana do not use 'steam' teknik, she heat directly on the stove. The original one use 'double boiler'.

STEAMED BUTTERCREAM
As stated in original recipe, can be used for any buttercream that DO NOT base on eggs and cream.
1. Hias kek dengan buttercream seperti biasa, asingkan 2 ke 3 cawan buttercream untuk dimasak.
2. Masukkan kek yang telah dibuttercreamkan ke dalam peti sejuk selama beberapa jam.
3. Masak Buttercream yang diasingkan atas api kecil agak2 panas (jangan sampai mendidih), whisk frequently, jaga jangan sampai terlalu cair.
4. Siramkan buttercream yang dah di masak tadi diatas cake, siramkan masa panas2 dan ratakan keatas seluruh cake. Do not use any spatula.
5. Biarkan selama 5 minit dan buttercream akan segera membeku.
Tips: Untuk lagi cantik, masa letak buttercream, letak cake atas cool rack yang diletak dalam bekas besar dibawahnya, so the buttercream will drop at the bottom. Chill, kemudian baru pindahkan ke cake tray.

Senang sangat...namanya Ganache.
Here is the recipe:
INGREDIENTS
1 box Baker's or other brand semisweet chocolate, chopped (about 11 oz)
1 cup heavy cream
3 tablespoons butter - soften in room temperature
1/4 cup light corn syrup (optional) for shiny and smoothness.
DIRECTIONS
Place the chocolate into a medium bowl.
Heat the cream and butter in a small sauce pan over medium heat. Whisk frequently.
Bring just to a boil, watching very carefully because if it boils for a few seconds, it will boil out of the pot.
When the cream has come to a boil, pour over the chopped chocolate, and whisk until smooth.
Add the light corn syrup.
Allow the ganache to cool slightly before pouring over a cake.
Start at the center of the cake and work outward.
Note: Tak perlu guna spatula dan make sure siram masa suam-suam, otherwise ganache jadi harden. Your cake must be chilled dulu before letak ganache. So you really need to be quick. It will smooth by itself. Edge kalau tak rata, cepat2 guna spatula kecik dan lalukan sekali saja, otherwise nanti jadi berkedut. If the ganache harden, run your spatula in very hot water, wipe and lalukan atas ganache. Good luck.
I tak guna resipi dari blog kawan kita since quite complicated, I found this recipe in the Internet and much easier.
