Wenger Ready To Rotate Again
Ars閚e Wenger has made no apoligies for preparing to field a number of shadow squad players in Arsenal's Champions League encounter with Sevilla this week.
The Gunners' boss is ready to rotate his side after a gruelling schedule in recent weeks and wants to test a few youngsters out at the highest level.
Arsenal need just a point from the match and Wenger is confident that whoever he fields in the S醤chez Pizju醤 will be able garner the desired result.
"Some players will be rested for Sevilla," he explained.
"I will rotate and it will be maybe a similar side to that against Slavia. It is an exciting match because it gives some players the chance to show how good they are in a very different context because first place is at stake.
"I think it is an important game to play.
"First place is important but I have to try and combine all the situations I face. Some players played two games last week with internationals and then on Saturday and Tuesday again.
"You could gain some more injuries and knowing the amount of games we have in December, we have to make a choice."
Lassana Diarra, Alex Song, Nicklas Bendtner, Justin Hoyte and Theo Walcott are just four of the youngsters that could be called into the Gunners' team for the game. |

Mputu Impressing Wenger On Arsenal Trial
As Tresor Mputu's trial at the Emirates continues, signs look good for the young DR Congo striker, although coach Arsene Wenger has not committed to signing him yet...
Tresor Mputu's trial at Arsenal seems to have caught the eye of coach Arsene Wenger.
"He is on trial and I have to go down to test him today," noted French boss Wenger on Sunday.
"He is a creative player and wants a chance in Europe. He has impressed so far."
Mputu ended up as top scorer in the African Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup.
He has also scored five times in ten international appearances for the Democratic Republic of Congo.
At the age of 20, Mputu is already one of the top stars operating in Africa, and he is at the ideal age for Wenger - who is fond of the youth - to snap him up.
However, is it not yet thought that the manager is ready to commit to signing him |

Arsenal's Fabregas Recounts FC Barcelona Days And Exit
Cesc Fabregas speaks on his last days at Barca and the influence of Arsene Wenger in his decision to join Arsenal FC
Arsenal's youthful sensation, Cesc Fabregas has gone down memory lane to his days in FC Barcelona and the circumsatnces that led to his transfer to Arsenal. The man who's putting Arsenal on the path once walked upon by Barca star, Thierry Henry, never knew he would one day end up in Arsenal, after helping FC Barcelona youth team trounce their English opponents on variuos occassions. Fabregas recounts:
At Barca we played Arsenal a few months before in a youth tournament and we beat them 5-1. I scored two goals and I was saying I didn't want to go because we played better football than Arsenal.
Fabregas later journeyed to England, and the Catalan star speaks of his first visit :
I came here to see the training ground and to talk to Mr Wenger. Imagine, you are playing under 16s at Barcelona and then you are talking to a person like Arsene Wenger who is so important in this world of football.
Speaking on his rumoured move back to the Catalan countryside to pitch tent with his old club in Barcelona, Fabregas moves to dispel the rumours and rather chooses to focus on his rising profile at North London:
When I first came to England my idea was to go back to Spain one day. But the truth is that now I'm happier every day and I love London, the people and the club. I'm going to say the truth - every day I have more desire to stay here for a long time and even for the rest of my career. |
