Uefa Ban Wenger After Touchline Row
Uefa have disciplined Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger following the Gunners' Champions League defeat in Seville on Tuesday.
Arsene Wenger has been given a Champions League ban for arguing with officials during Arsenal's 3-1 defeat by Sevilla earlier this week.
The Gunners' manager will be barred from the dug-out and the dressing room when Arsenal take on Steaua Bucharest at the Emirates on December 12th, the final Group H game.
Wenger is also likely to have the ban extended to the knockout stages at a Uefa disciplinary hearing scheduled for the following day.
The Frenchman was sent from the technical area for arguing with Belgian referee Eric Braamhaar as Sevilla came from behind to inflict a firsrt defeat of the season on the Barclays Premier League leaders.
However, he ignored the orders of fourth official Reinold Wiedemeijer to go to the stands, instead watching the final 10 minutes of the match from the entrance to the players |

Arsenal Will Bounce Back, Says Toure
After Sevilla ended Arsenal's 28-match unbeaten run on Tuesday, defender Kolo Toure has promised that the Gunners will bounce back with renewed determination.
Arsenal are determined to recover in style from their first defeat of the season.
The Gunners’ 28-match unbeaten run was ended by Tuesday's 3-1 Champions League defeat in Seville, when manager Arsene Wenger rested most of his first-choice players.
However, Kolo Toure, who was captain on the night in place of the rested William Gallas, said: “Our confidence will not be affected by one poor result.
“The run is over so now we will just start all over again.
“We just need to show the character and the desire we have displayed all season and play as we know we can do.
“We knew a defeat would come one day but we didn’t know when it would be.
“But to be winners you need to get over these setbacks and show courage.”
However, a blow for Arsenal is the news that in-form playmaker Cesc Fabregas is out for 10 days after straining his hamstring in the Sevilla game, an injury that forced him to be substituted.
As a result, Fabregas will now miss Arsenal's next two Barclays Premier League games - away to Aston Villa and Newcastle United.
Fabregas said: “I came off because I did not want to take any more risks when we had qualified.
“Right now the most important thing for us is the Premier League.
“We have three big fixtures coming up and we need to win at Villa.”
Wenger admitted that his selection gamble had back-fired on Tuesday, but Brazil captain Gilberto Silva said: “Even experienced players can lose a game and the manager needs to trust all the players in the squad.
"The youngsters have done well but we have to learn that we cannot commit the kind of mistakes we did in Seville.
“We need to keep the ball and keep control of the game. If we commit those mistakes again it could be crucial.”
The Seville defeat was also notable for Wenger's touchline row with the officials, for which he sent to the stands and has received a ban.
But Toure said: “Every time he blew his whistle it was against us.
“I was upset with that ref. Every time I tried to talk to him he didn’t want to know.”
yeahh.. arsenal will get it back |
