And Angelina Jolie stressed in the poignant article she wrote for the New York Times that she doesn’t ‘feel any less of a woman’ following the preventative surgery.
The actress was wonderfully celebrating her body confidence during a trip to Hawaii on Monday.

The 38-year-old looked beautiful as she kept cool in a lightweight black silk camisole, which she paired with matching tailored trousers.
Small marks were just seen but barely noticeable beside the Salt star’s armpits.
The marks are perhaps where incisions were made during her reconstructive surgery, which Angelina revealed she had on April 20.

She's a vision: Angelina looked beautiful as she scouted locations in the woods with a film crew
Incisions are often made just below the armpit for breast surgery.
Angelina was seen on the island of Oahu, taking a stroll through the woods with a film crew while scouting shooting locations.
The brunette was in her element and wore a stunning smile as she explored the breath-taking landscape.

Angelina also wisely made sure to protect her porcelain skin from the harsh rays of the sun with a wide brimmed black hat and chic square-framed sunglasses.
Angelina was seen arriving in the tropical location on Sunday with her two eldest sons, Maddox, 11 and nine-year-old Pax, as she returned to work after her elective mastectomy.
It is understood that the Girl, Interrupted star will bring in her other four children and fiancé Brad Pitt to stay with her on the island for eight weeks while she films Unbroken.

Back in the director's chair: Angelina is in Hawaii to film her second directorial project, Unbroken
The movie will be Angelina’s second turn at directing, having already helmed In The Land of Blood and Honey.
Unbroken is based on the novel by Laura Hillenbrand about the heroic tale of Olympian-turned-WWII prisoner-of-war Louis Zamperini and will be filmed on location throughout Hawaii.
In her detailed piece revealing her surgery, Angelina assured that having the double mastectomy hasn't changed the way she feels about herself and her womanliness, and added that results of reconstructive surgery 'can be beautiful'.
'On a personal note, I do not feel any less of a woman,' she said. 'I feel empowered that I made a strong choice that in no way diminishes my femininity.'
Angelina decided to share her story in the hope of educating women about their options and was hailed by many of her fellow celebrities as an inspiration for her brave decision.

doctor yang monitor dia lepas operation tu pon kata....angie mmg follow dan makan semua vitamin ubat2...untuk cergas dan stamina, sbb dia jenis tak duduk diam. dia mmg jenis yang determined...nak buat semua perfect...tak lupa kesihatan. yes..aku pon nampak dia lebih sihat..happy dan yang penting...tak penah nampak p 'merambu' aktiviti bersuka ria kan

It may only be a teddy bear, but it's seen more places and faces than most will in their lifetimes.
And it seems Angelina Jolie's son Pax has become inseparable from his favourite purple soft toy as he was seen travelling with it once more on Wednesday.
The actress jetted into Los Angeles airport with her brood after another jet setting trip which saw her relax in Hawaii.
She emerged from her private jet carrying a couple of bags as Pax wandered down the steps beside her clutching on to the large purple bear.
The teddy appears to be a comforter for Pax when they go on their many travels with their famous parents.
Angelina looked happy and relaxed as she arrived at LAX, sporting a pair of black trousers and a strappy camisole to keep comfortable during the trip.
It is a similar look to the one she sported while in Hawaii, where she showed she's gained back her body confidence following her double mastectomy earlier this year.
She still seemed in holiday mood with her sunglasses over her eyes and flip flops on her feet.
Pax meanwhile looked casual in a T-shirt and shorts while carrying his purple accessory.
His brother Maddox followed behind and clambered down the steps carrying a suitcase as they stepped back in California.
He showed off his growing style in a beanie hat, headphones and large sunglasses with a T-shirt and baggy trousers.
And they of course received special treatment as they were let out at the jetway in LAX.

aku pasti brad & angie jenis tak hu ha tak tentu pasal...tengok aje la hal angie operate tu...semua tau..tapi tak keluar kat tabloid n news. semua nya berbincang dan ada perancangan teliti...tak ganggu urusan keje derang...keluar je news..semua terkedu...
as for JA & JT...to me..its an insult...to keep referring to JA's ex..as if derang tu tak bahagia or tak move on....they are much happier and nak walk down the aisle pon..JA pon dah berapa kali tukar pasangan..semua ngan hot2...dan muda2 dari dia...
