saya nak gi januari ni... any advise? any hotel / hostel dekat taksim tak? sapa pernah terus ke taksim from epot ya.... sbb bawa parents yg suka jalan jalan ukur jalan sambil singgah kedai.. so taksim is the best rasanya for deyols |

I recommend hotels not hostels. Hotels banyak around Taksim if you prefer to stay in Taksim.
From the airport to Taksim is very easy. You take the havas/coach/bus to Taksim dan akan berhenti di Point Hotel Taksim.
Dari situ you can walk to your hotel. (Kalau hotel you dekat2 dengan Taksim Square or Gezi Park)
if you prefer satu jalan yang kiri kanan ada kedai for shopping, yes Taksim is a good choice sebab Istiklal Caddesi starts from top of Taksim at the square and ends at Tunel after Sishane station.

everywhere you go i think it'll be the same

generally istanbul is safe tapi tentulah ada dark sidenya 
another factor you need to consider is your transport
kadikoy is on the asian side
yes kadikoy memang ada metro and iskele/ferry to europe side even dolmus and taxi
tapi your airbnb dekat kah dengan station?
tengok jugak locationnya
accessibility penting IMHO

if the owner is a superhost then you have no worries in terms of his or her experience and hospitality.
lagipun review semua bagi location 5 star dekat dgn ferry terminal..metro n bus..
yang ni selesai you punya transportation. accessibility to places you want to go dah covered.

siapa ada pengalaman kat sini sewa dasri airbnb area kadikoy?
saya takde pengalaman sewa airbnb area kadikoy. tetapi saya sering juga ke kadikoy bila ada kelapangan untuk jalan2 cari pasal dan jumpa kawan2 atau have lunch/dinner/drinks at the restos/cafes. kadikoy is as busy as other places especially during hujung minggu. the 20 minutes ferry ride from europe side to asia side is always my favourite.
actually your best bet is to list down ke mana you nak tuju, apa you nak tengok, apa yang you nak experience.
when you've made your list then it'll make it easier to make your decision. i wouldn't say no to kadikoy. it has it's own charm and it's own attraction.
i just wanted to share what i know and hope that it would ease your 'load'.

summer memang panas. yes membahang sangat. while malaysia is hot and humid, turkey is hot and dry.
petang usually breezy sikit.

no snow but you can still take the teleferik up if takde maintenance work.

Aduh, kalau Ogos lagilah kan.
I dah book hotel, now tengah cari tiket promo, payah benor. Walau pun lira jatuh, tiket flight meriah sungguh harga, susah nak jumpa harga bawah 2K.
Ada siapa dapat harga terbaik, please share. Tq.

yg paling murah chouls ialah saudia...tapi transit kadang sampai sehari...u boleh masuk mekkah n buat sekali umrah...
