Koffee with Karan 5 coup: Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh on Karan Johar’s show together? Will they talk about Deepika Padukone?
We hear that Bollywood heartthrobs Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh are to make an appearance on Karan Johar's show Koffee with Karan Season 5.
The first episode of Koffee with Karan Season 5 was aired on Sunday, November 6, with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his Dear Zindagi co-star Alia Bhatt being the first guests on the much loved television chat show hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar. There have been many speculations on the guest list of KJo’s show, and all we can do is wait for the promos and press release to know who is coming next. On the Koffee with Karan 5 Episode 2, we shall have the illustrious and lovely pair of Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna. Getting the superstar and his actor-cum-author-cum-interior-designer wife to appear together on a TV show where a lot could be revealed about their personal lives (whatever is not revealed in Twinkle’s book Mrs Funnybones and her column, i.e.) is in itself a coup. And now we hear that the popular heartthrobs of Bollywood, Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, are to make an appearance on the show! What will they talk about? Their friendship or Deepika Padukone, who is Ranbir Kapoor’s ex and Ranveer Singh’s current girlfriend?
The two actors are friends in real life in spite of their changing equation with Deepika Padukone. In fact, Ranbir Kapoor has invited Ranveer Singh to his parties in Mumbai, too, along with the other heartthrob Shahid Kapoor. Never mind that right now Ranveer Singh is rumoured to be having problems with Shahid Kapoor because he has been cast opposite Deepika Padukone in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s periodical Padmavati, in which Ranveer Singh stars as Alauddin Khilji. And of course, while shooting Tamasha, Ranveer Singh was a tad insecure about his lady love and so later promoted the film together with Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone once. Will Ranveer Singh reveal his insecurities on Koffee with Karan 5? On his on-off relationship with his co-star of three films – Bajirao Mastani, Padmavati and Goliyon Ki Raasleela – Ram Leela?
And we also wonder if Ranveer Singh will react to what Shah Rukh Khan said about him wearing “padded underwear” on Koffee with Karan 5 Opening Episode!
Ranbir Kapoor meanwhile after his break-up with his lovely actress girlfriend Katrina Kaif, is right now as bichara as his man-child character Ayan in his recent Rs 100-crore release Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. There may be rumours of his newest squeeze being either actress Jacqueline Fernandez or actress-singer Shruti Haasan – for all you know, both – nothing is confirmed by the man himself and we hope he does so on Koffee with Karan 5!
But having the two hottest actors from B’town together on his show means Karan Johar may even cast them together in one of his films! Will that ever happen? That will be like Aamir Khan and Salman Khan in Andaz Apna Apna, hai na? So the energetic Ranveer Singh could play Salman Khan and the mellower Ranbir Kapoor can reprise Aamir Khan’s role in a similar comedy or romcom. What say, KJo? Maybe the original’s director Rajkumar Santoshi should watch this episode of Koffee with Karan 5!
