Despite offering bear’s paws in their menu, which are a rare delicacy in China, a Chinese restaurant in northern Italy doesn’t seem to serve actual bear meat.
A waiter working for the restaurant allegedly leaked a picture of human feet in a bowl which he claimed were later served to a customer as bear’s paws.
Images of the rotting human body part later went viral on social media triggering concern.
During an inspection following a customer’s complaint who saw the leaked picture online, the kitchen of the restaurant was found in a very unhygienic condition.
Even more worrying is that even though the restaurant offers bear’s paws, which are a rare delicacy in China, in their menu
What they did find, however, were packages of expired frog legs, crab meat and frozen fish of doubtful origin.
Whether the accused restaurant actually served human feet is still uncertain as the image’s origin is still being investigated by forensic pathologists, but considering the findings of the inspection, chances are high that the restaurant has not been entirely honest about the ingredients of its food.
